  • Whoaaaa boy/girl!

Just wanted to note, Druid wildshape forms have ridiculously low speeds. The fact that a wolf and a horse run at the same speed as a human not only makes wildshape pretty useless (apart from for RP, for which it's brilliant) but also hilariously unrealistic.

In PnP both wolves and horse are 166% the speed of humans.

I'm not suggesting a precise true-to-life or true-to-PnP conversion, but they should at least be 10% faster. They are wet paper bags combat-wise so I don't see how this could be unbalancing.

    Thanks! Stupid suggestion out.

I always use that speed boost that druids get when I play mine, I love that it makes you zoom all over the map and it actually makes me want to go to Sundren city with those characters

Would be cool to see that spell boost on top of a passive boost for wildshapes!

It is somewhat ridiculous that you need Longstrider simply to make the running animation match up with the movement speed. It's especially obvious with some of the dire forms.

I take back the wet paper bag comment. I got the Dire forms and they are quite formidable indeed! Remains to be seen if they'll remain useful at higher levels, but I'm gonna hope for the best.

Spoiler: They become fairly useless due to comparatively low AC. But then you get elemental forms, so wildshape remains pretty relevant.

            As a sub-suggestion of this...

Cat form has Dex 15. Really? Has no one seen a cat flip 10 times in midair and land on its feet, then walk away calmly as if nothing happened?

Personally I hate cats. I'm allergic to them, and their stares creep me out...but Dex 15?! A Medium sized cat has more Dex than that, and they are two size categories bigger!

EDIT: Also, some of the forms apply the stat bonuses as the wrong kind of bonus, some are listed in light blue text (enhancement bonus?) and others in white text (set to X??). It's particularly pertinent with Con, where you take damage every time you change shape, including transitioning. I didn't try out dying, but I did get my HP down to 20%, so I presume it can lead to death.
