  • Beholder/Wraith

Hey! Was just wondering around exploring somewhere I shouldn't and got 1-shoted by the Beholder (for the nth time). What I was wondering was, is he/she meant to be able to see invis? Because I sure as hell wasn't expecting it and I've never heard of Beholder's having that power! Beholder mage? Eek.

Conversely, there's another creature that it always seems silly to be able to run past whilst invisible. Wraiths! I just quick glanced at the SRD and yeah...everyone's favourite life-sucking fiend should indeed be able to see through invis

Lifesense (Su) A wraith notices and locates living creatures within 60 feet, just as if it possessed the blindsight ability.

    Just a thought. Cheers!

Yes, I realise my RP writing sucks. Just be thankful I keep it short

This is from personal experience in DDO, but I've always thought beholders already have innate See Invisibility.
But please, keep one thing in mind for me. What have you become when even nightmares fear you?

Beholders have true seeing.... welcome to DnD
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

I'ld have thought that the beholder's Antimagic Cone might also FUBAR your invisibility if he looks that way.

There you go. Correction; it is True Seeing in DDO, too. I wasn't entirely sure which it was since it and See Invisibility had the same icon, and the concealment ignore portion of True Seeing just never gets used because they preferred to eyelaser than bite.

I guess this will be one of those days I regret 1) not being a spellcaster 2) with Enlarge.

True seeing, see invis, whatever you call it it's still pure evil!

"Oh a magic destroying cone...I think I will just sit this one out whilst safely invi....AHHHHHARGH!!!" *splurk*
