Silly suggestion but thought I would post it...

It think it would be nice to add regeneration to the RP ticker. Nothing OP, just 1-2 HP per tick. My thoughts are this would be "normal healing". This stemmed from I was headed towards the gate (no armor) and was hit by a stray arrow. Nothing major ("it's just a flesh wound") but now I either use a cherished "rest" or consumable to not be listed a wounded.

I view this more as a cosmetic. Yes it would I guess help very low level toons but based on the resting times for 5 and under I do not see this as giving them anything extra.

    Just my thoughts,

If I'm not too out of touch (4 hours logged as a player in a year :P), you can rest once every ten minutes to regain 1 hp/level. This is sufficient. Otherwise, Cure Light Wounds potions are cheap.

While there is a two hour cool down between full rests there are plenty of rest points dotted around the server to get you all healed up, there's certainly one at each end of the pioneers way!

Plus bandages are as cheap as anything and an easy way to top up HP.

With the abundance of rest areas allowing unlimited resting and recovery it seems a little redundant to have trickle healing.
It is the greatest of all mistakes to do nothing because you can only do a little - Do what you can.

If regen were on a timer, who would need clerics?

I am not a fan of this, clerics don't get enough love as it is, not to mention cure lights as mentioned.

Bandages are super useful now out of combat, that would be your best bet.

If I recall correctly, it is a percentage of your HPs equal to your level plus your survival score, rather than a straight number of hit-points.

I believe the rest is every 2 hours real time. So if the the timer is every 10 min (which I think it is longer) then we are talking 6 HP per hour real time, or 12 HP between rests. This by no way invalidates Clerics.

I am not fully versed in the "rest" algorithm. So if one can rest every 10 min @ 1hp/level without effecting the "full rest" ever 2 hours then this thread it moot.

Full rest is every 2 hrs real time. Partial rest is every 10 minutes, though I believe it restarts the full rest timer. Full rest restores all your spells, abilities, etc. and partial rest is just healing and advances time on buffs so some may fade.

The only thing affected on mini-rests is HP. Buffs and the 2-hour "daily" rest timer are unaffected, from my observation and experience.

Low level characters wont notice much HP, but rangers, druids, and anyone with stacked levels of survival can saily see over half their HP renewed every 10 minutes without much difficulty.

                    - When you gain back your uses per day you will also gain full HP from the rest (as if you had fully rested in a rest zone)
                    - You will still gain back your level in HP as normal when resting outside of the daily rest, but survival skill now counts as a % bonus HP to your rested health
                    - Resting inside of a rest zone will restore full HP and uses per day regardless of the countdown
                    Formula is: (Char level) + (maxHP*(Survival/100)) = Mini-rest HPs

I'd rather see buffs to clerical healing spells or use/day Lay on hands for Clerics.

Strongly opposed to regen on timer, because a) makes no sense, b) makes slowly grinding your way (solo) through high-level dungeons less costly, c) makes healing magic even less useful than it already is.

Personally I'd love if Heal potions were taken out of the game altogether. Can you even make one in PnP???

No you can not! Only spells up to third level. Although I do not know the rules for Pathfinder.

Pathfinder is also max 3rd level for potions.

You can, however, make 1-use wondrous-items of Heal in both systems for a mere spell-level*caster-level*50, or 3300 GP each (assuming an 11th level cleric).
That would be pretty cool. Wondrous Bandages of Heal, or perhaps a salve.

I'd support making them 3300gp! Also if they were a badge/salve or whatever I guess they wouldn't stack so it would make it harder to carry 50 of them?
