I didn't know that. Makes sense I guess... Plan on keeping Death Attack as well?

Or, you know, I would have to go evil and do assassin.
Firstly, I think that HiPS is a lot more fitting for Rogues than death attack. Secondly I think it would be more useful in a much broader range of situations than death attack, which seems mostly useful for RP events.

It would have to be at level 17+ though or else it would cheapen the other HiPS classes. Shadowdancer/Assassin would still remain attractive to those who wanted to dip heavily into Fighter/Swashbuckler/Duelist etc.

Yes, I realise my RP writing sucks. Just be thankful I keep it short

I'm gonna weigh in and say that HiPS would be a nice adv talent feat for rogues as well as death attack. Playing a rogue is def. more of an RP choice as they are not meant to be solo fighters. As I was dabbling with a rogue I was doing a lot of running around the corner and bombing a invis. pot. just to survive.

That being said full movement stealth would be attractive as well. these are all good feats for a rogue, but most rogues tend to specialize in one area. ie. devices and locks, stealth and theft, stealth and kill. The latter of which obviously being the Assassin PrC. So i can see why they are hesitant about making all of these available.

As far as making them Pathfinder, you must remember the idea in pathfinder is kinda along the lines of 'If everything is OP, is anything OP?' so yeah...

I agree that we should take out the death attack, a high level rogue, if they get a backstab on you and dual wield, well that is like a death attach anyway.

I say give them stealth the same level as rangers get it. I think that is right now level 16. Or, if you want to make it so people go straight rogue, make it 20. I do think they should get HIPS at some point.

I have played a number of different rogue types and if you play them well, get some decent EQ, they are enjoyable and can actually survive a bit in the current environment, IMO.
