speaking of sockets.. there SO should be other recipes with socketable metals. like silver for example. you should be able to socket deaths ruin in a silver weapon. The fact that you can't is silly.

Unfortunately, I doubt we'll be seeing much of a change here till GBX gets his version of crafting2.0 out, whenever that is. :-/
However, there are other fixes that need attention first, before we get into the extras. But yes, we need more use of the various awesome systems we have, such as sockets (used only by mithril weapons, alchemical gold armor, and +3 stat gear), and the Faction Wealth system that has been taunting us all with 1000s. :-)
Nothing against GBX, your stuff is awesome, but the timelines can get a bit disappointing.
