  • Invisibility Stealth Bonus

In PnP the Invisibility spell grants a +40 Hide bonus.

There is an inherent glitch in the game that when somebody goes invisible, they are still "visible" on screen, just as see through.

Do you think it would be possible, when somebody uses the Invisibility spell, the spell grants them the +40 hide bonus, and then causes them to go into stealth as though using the Hide in Plain Sight ability?

That would make it so that when somebody uses invisibility, they actually vanish on the screen to other players.

    Thoughts? ideas?

It's been my experience that invisible characters are invisible on Sundren, unless other people have methods of penetrating said invisibility (See Invisibility, True Seeing, etc.) It's true that your character will be see-through but still visible if you turn invisible while in the line of sight of others, but this can be corrected via breaking line of sight.

Also, if someone uses zone revelation and the person recast invisible you will have the " seen" effect.

        Sneak would be neat!

Maybe you could have the Weather affect Listen and Spot modifiers too. It's pretty silly when people are hearing Footsteps Mid-thunderstorm with gale force winds and ten conversations going on near the fire =P

Well, maybe for an Elf it wouldn't be... But that doesn't count! =D

My suggestion would be to remove the "You hear footsteps nearby" message when invisible characters are standing still.
