  • A possible fix for Wildshape & Transitions

While not an actual "Fix", I was wondering if something like this could be done:

If a Druid in Wildshape form clicks on a transition, the Druid is automatically shifted back to their true form and they are "refunded" a use of Wild Shape.

    Would this be possible?

I would. Love to see unlimited shifting with wild shape = to half your level /hr (less mostlikly). Or have your amounts of shifts doubled to acomdate for area transitions.

Though i suspect it would a lot of work.

Hopefully it would be possible to fix the general polymorph-transition instability, but I personally have no idea what that would entail. I seem to recall that there have been discussions of a similar vein in the past.
Its rather quirky to need to cast endless polymorphs in-zone when James is pretending to be an Exigo construct.

No. This does not fix the problem. We already do this. It's another problem causing the crash.
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

I'm looking into this specific issue. Chances are I might have to undo TONS of things that don't seem related and recode other things, and keep testing til I get the right alchemy.

I think I remember you mentioning a long time ago that you figured out the crash was related to the order something loads on transition (vfx maybe?). Just mentioning it here in the off chance it helps, because that's really the only assistance I can be on the issue.

I think I know what's causing it, but I have to decide how I'll change it.
