  • Weapon of Impact for Bards?

This particular bit of the bard's spell list made no sense to me. Bards gain class proficiency with rapiers and longswords, and also often use bows, or greatswords if they're fighter splashes. Very rarely do bards use bludgeoning weapons. Yet Weapon of Impact is on the Bard's spell list, and not Keen Edge or even Greater Magic Weapon.

Would it be reasonable to add one / both of those spells for bards who stab 'n slash?
Adama who was once called Adama Hrakness, sacred paw of Mielikki

Lihana Farrier, Paladin of Torm and noble dalliance

On Hold: Alandriel Ward, Actually a Vampire Groupie
Retired for Good: Tamryn Jorandur, Hano's Wife and Conflicted Soul

Apparently the class expects you to bludgeon dissenters with your own lute?

Seriously speaking, Keen Edge on a bard would be decent.
But please, keep one thing in mind for me. What have you become when even nightmares fear you?

Perhaps it applies to bluntness of conversation?

simple weapons Now i know a CLUB is on that list I think it's a matter that Bards dont want to use the bashing weapons they have the ability to use.

If I see ANY bards going Pete Townshend on their lutes, I'm going to just say "you beat D&D" right then and there.

I don't blame them, considering bashing weapons have the issue of relatively mediocre damage and jokes for critical profiles.

I will now make a bard who smashes things with a club. I call this Raksha's Syndrome. :-)

Seriously: Yes. Keen Edge makes a lot more sense than Weapon of Impact.
