Some time ago, Byrun tried to donate a short sword to Abby that was designed as a healer's impliment it seemed. My first impression was that it looked like someone had actually designed a magic surgical scalpel and I thought; that's amazing!
Trouble is, it was a short sword and I couldn't use it because clerics only get simple weapon proficiencies. There's no way I could justify training with martial weapons with Abby, just to be able to use it. Also, how do you RP a 2.5' scalpel?
Im not sure who came up with this thing, but it would be wonderful if a "human" sized scalple could be introduced in the form of a knife (dagger).
I wish I could remember what it was called and its properties. I only know it had bonuses to the heal skill and some properties that seemed very healer-esk.
Healing gear is hard to come by outside of factions, and even in them, it hard to get faction gear donations as the pool of possible donners is very limited. I loved seeing this thing, but how painful to see it required a martial wp.
