I'm thinking the Enclave needs some locks, and maybe the general quest NPC (apple dumpling!) moved outside? As much as I love people nosing around our opium den, our slave pen, and our temple of Bane, it seems a little too upfront about who we are, and there are snoopy adventurers poking all around in our stuff. I know there's an inn involved, but those rooms should probably be Thayan quarters anyways! Or...can we move the questionable stuff into the basement where not everyone can just walk in and go "What's this? Drugs and Bane!" I know it's Thayan soil and we can do what we want, but it seems like we're being a little too arrogant/apathetic in some ways. It may be an evil place of business, but it's still a place of business dammit!

Do you know what the Thayan Enclave is? Sorry it just doesn't seem you do.
It's like closing off the lobby to a hotel -- why? A temple/altar should not be private, otherwise who would visit it? All the real private stuff is downstairs which is sealed away, but as for slave pens and an opium den... I fail to see the issue.
It's not like there aren't thayan knights and guards everywhere, people shouldn't be ICly causing shit without considering that.
Drugs are not illegal in Sundren BTW.in Thayan enclaves which would publicly sell magic items and quietly also traffic drugs, wicked spells, and slaves.
As for the Altar I would rather just see it converted back to an Altar of Kossuth, not like anyone is going to care if someone worships Kossuth (other than Aurilites). The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

I figured it was for Enclave personnel and esteemed visitors. I didn't think it was a tourist attraction/major source of revenue.
And in that quote you gave you mentioned quietly. I would say quietly is more "behind closed doors" than just up a public flight of stairs. But I'll agree to disagree. It was just a curiosity.
I do totally agree with the altar thing though, especially because it would upset those Aurilites.I can't slow down, I can't hold back though you know I wish I could. No there ain't no rest for the wicked until we close our eyes for good!

The problem is, if it's locked. Now suddenly what is supposed to be a source of income for the Enclave is now only accessible when Sandro is logged online, because there aren't Red Wizards around all the time.
To me it just makes most of the area useless, as now most of it becomes a private RP zone (which we already have for part of the Enclave).
If what you are after is a room, there are several quarters for Red Wizard PCs that haven't been re-converted yet for current active RW PCs.The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

Hey, Blackwood locks the front door. Granted, they have way more active members.
I see what you're saying about the revenue portion, and it's not a room I'm looking for, though getting an Arcanist's quarters would actually be pretty neat. It was more with the influx of new players running around checking out all the nooks and crannies of Sundren is occurred to me that our seconds floor just seemed really in your face about all the wickedness of Thayans. In trying to feign civility to drum up business that seemed like a big hurdle.
If I am simply being a bad Thayan and should be more of a "deal with it, that's how we roll" sort, I can do that. I've tried to be less of an arrogant jerk in the hopes of enticing customers, but I don't mind kicking it up a few notches.I can't slow down, I can't hold back though you know I wish I could. I wouldn't expect any kind of Red Wizard to be apologetic about slavery if that's what you mean. It's common knowledge they have slaves, sell drugs, and some of them worship Bane.
If you want to downplay that as a Thayan, that's totally ok, but I don't think anyone ICly would be confused that "Thayans sell drugs? They have slaves?!" ... It's just not something people should be caring about if they expect to deal with a Red Wizard.
If it wasn't supposed to be common knowledge, then I could understand it being more private, and behind closed doors... but as it stands you have to navigate through a large section of the Enclave before even getting to that stuff...The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

Mine was a tongue in cheek comment. I get that point, and that our drugs and slaves are commodities. My only thought was maybe have it be an off-the-menu item that isn't right up in people's faces. Like I said, if that is a bad interpretation of the Enclave on my part then I screwed up and it's a dumb request.Originally posted by Shinshan View PostBlackwood makes their money from killing people, not selling commodities.I can't slow down, I can't hold back though you know I wish I could. I'm not trying to tell you it's a dumb request I'm just trying to show you ICly where I'm coming from, to me it's sort of already how you describe....
It's not like slaves and bongs are for sale to your left the moment you walk in the front door. The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

The "dumb comment" thing was for the previous posted, edited to try and clear it up but you're too fast for me!
But anyways, thanks for the clarification and time.I can't slow down, I can't hold back though you know I wish I could. No there ain't no rest for the wicked until we close our eyes for good!

Khyron was mad when there was a shrine of Kossuth there and was happy to hear it was converted to Bane. With the death of Mother Eidior, the aurilites have taken a more aggressive stance. I am not sure how Priestess Inger and Aelfric would take the shrine being converted back to Kossuth, but I assume it would end with Aquor in ruins, half frozen and half on fire. Would be a fun event anyway

A better question would be "Who wouldn't want to turn a city into a hot pocket?"Originally posted by sonuvalich View PostSo you would turn Aquor into a Hot Pocket? Molten on the outside, frozen in the middle? We can axe if we want to, leave that sword behind. Because your friends don't axe, and if they don't axe then they're no friends of mine.
