  • Guardhouses - Shared REP

Is there a possibility to make the Guardhouses share REP with your party?

Drake catches flag with Alianna, and Dain Tornbrook in the group:

Drake gets faction rep with Sundren 10th Legion.

Alianna and Dain get rep with their appropiate factions.

As of right now :P It doesn't share.

Would be a good idea - but the guardhouses are going away per Saulus.
    Account Name: LuvHandles
Maneae StrongArm - Devilish Warrior Woman (Active: Finding her place after time in reflection)
Minael Cel'Anon - Elven Smith, Knight and Wizard (Inactive: seeking clues to lost elven artifacts)
Aria Duvaine - Wouldn't you like to know . . . (Inactive: Whereabouts unknown)
Ra'd Malik - Mulhorandi Warrior (Inactive: Off on a mission for the BH)
Khyron Brinsbane - Fury of Auril (Inactive: Working with Cwn Annwn)
Chazre Kenner - All around good guy with a penchant for revelry and chasing the ladies. (Deleted: Team Good, returned to Cormyr)

They were meant to boost the reputation of YOUR faction... "Yeah, the Gnomes of Waterdeep have successfully claimed this section of road for their own nefarious works!"

doesn't go well with "And just because I was with you, the UFO's of Nether also claim this section of road!" or "And because I was with you, the Assassins of Amn also claim this section of road!"

They were meant more for showing off your faction (sort of like a tug of war, but simpler). Sharing the rep between a Legionnaire and say a Black Hand or Eboncoin or worse a Triumvirate and either of those, wouldn't make a lot of sense.

I would say for the time being they should have a lower time limit so they can be used more often, but put a timer on each player of a set amount of time before they can use it again (30 minutes for reuse and maybe 2 hours / player). I think they should also remain in place until any other system is put in place.
Bree - Bookkeeper and diplomat of Exigo.

Becky Dragonhin - Sword of the Loyal Fury, Knight of the Triad... the only Good hin in Sundren???
        Cybil Gelley (Retired)
Perry Turnipfodder - aspiring talent, happy chronicler.

I want to better document things like the flags and any other faction rep gain methods, I haven't decided how to best do this -- a tutorial, or for example a journal entry that never goes away.
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

Stock it in the description of that DMFI ring that none can drop?

Or the Traveler's Guide to Sundren?
But please, keep one thing in mind for me. What have you become when even nightmares fear you?

We should find out if people actually read either if those. I'd say a journal entry would be more effective

Anyway to make a quest string tied to rep gaining activities?

I envision joining a faction and getting quests to have someone vouch for you, retrieve a banner, take a guard post, and vouch for someone else. They'd be small rewards that demand that the PC engage in rep-building mechanics.

I agree with lotus - If you give just a small reason or incentive to do it other then REP - I'm sure more people would engage in their faction.

Want a vouch? Work for it - and show your superior why he should.

Same goes with the opposite, the capturing, etc.

I initially thought this thread was about ERP.
