I was just thinking, an easy solution to Wizards/Sorcerers "Kill 5 enemies then run out of spells" woes might be just to make certain charged items like Wands rechargeable from magic merchants or a craft bench?
Also, as this would severely impact on Wand makers business (people could keep the same wand forever instead of having to buy a new one) they should also have the ability to recharge Wands, at lesser cost to the merchants/benches.
I know that would probably be a lot of work, and for a minority of players at that, I'm just putting the idea out there.
In my own PnP campaign, I use a system similar to spell points...where players can cannibalize higher level spells to restore lower level ones e.g. burn a 5th level spell (worth 9pts) to get three 2nd level spells (3pts each) back. According to what I've read from GBX, regaining spells of a certain level is impossible though?
