lol you guys need to figure this out... Jabak, my 9 barb, 2 fb is a killing machine, but he does die fast. Even more so with the -6 ac when when i rage and frenzy at once. I think giving them BAB like the fighter would help, so you dont miss as much when using power attack or improved power attack, which would also help make FB enhanced power attack more usability.

Barbarian BAB is already maxed. I think an increase in DR would mak a world of differance. Maybe have them end in with 10/- at 20th level.

I've got a level 20 dwarven barbarian with the dwarven DR feats and pretty much every item from the barbarian store on the caravan route. That's including every red weapon with the matching bracer. And although Lagnar is a boss when fighting people with slashing weapons, he is definitely inferior to a fighter of his level in terms of damage/AC/accuracy. I can take a hit better then pretty much anyone, but that doesn't mean much when I'm maxing a 24 AC.

The kaedren pack included a two-handed weapon tree for rangers, and I think it'd be cool if barbarians got something like that. Gave Power attack at 2, Imp. power attack at 6, and then the FB power attacks at 11 and 16. So, a fully leveled Barb could have the same damage as a multiclass FB, just takes being fully leveled in barbarian, so you can't go fighter/FB and still have feats and full plate.

Or perhaps start giving them elemental resists to go with their DR. Barbs are supposed to survive by just soaking hits, not avoiding them. So, having resistance to the elements, physical harm, and even straight magic damage inherently could be nifty. Nothing that stacks with items, naturally, just something that says "I'm a level 20 barbarian, and it will take more then a burning hands spell to make me care about your piddly fire magic."

I"m also all for their DR progression being enhanced to be 10/- at level 20.

I think perhaps a boost in DR during rage is fitting. Not sure that it can be made to stack, which would make it rather useless.. I do like the idea of elemental/magic resists. Perhaps tied to a totem choice.

I think adding some bonus feats/abilities at select levels and pumping up Rage with some more ferocious bonuses ((Damage/AB/Fast Healing?)) would bring them in line with the idea that a Barbarian is dangerous, and harder then hells to kill.

i just had an idea that i thought might be cool. is there a way to make it when you use rage or frenzy, it'll let you reroll your saving throws/strength check vs various spells such as bigby's hand, mind affecting spells. i mean it does sorta make sense. i mean look at the hulk, everytime someone traps him, he gets mad and breaks free!

Liking that. Slippery mind kinda thing while raging.
