  • Instant action feats

I would like to suggest that certain feats be instant actions like what has been done with Divine Might/Shield. I really like how that has made those so much more useful and there are a couple other feats that I would like to see the same way.

Divine Wrath ((Divine Champion 1/day feat CHA modifier rounds))
Sacred Flames ((From Sacred Fist levels, duration fixed at 10 rounds))
Inner armor ((Sacred Fist feat for Wisdom modifier rounds))
Shadow Evade ((Shadow Dancer ability for 3 rounds))

These feats are all greatly useful as is, however, with such short durations losing a round to casting each hurts. It also means they are more a pre-battle buff, as they lose some usefulness in the middle of a fight as a full round action.

    I like it...
    Cheers!

I didn't know you could that. Is it like this for that SD ability shadow evade too? For a 3 round fix, an instant application would be nice.

I agree, adding that to the OP list.

I could easily support this alteration.

I feel that these feats are meant to turn the tide of a battle. They are the ultra-powerful ability that is supposed to get you out of a tough scrape and bring you Victory for your cause. Though, as mentioned in my first post, the way things are they are more suited to abilities triggered before a fight. Now that doesn't make them bad, or underpowered, it just means that they are not as flexible in use. This does not make these feats stronger, but it does allow them to be used more effectively by the characters that use them.

              Sounds reasonable.

I like this suggestion, and was going to write a post up myself about it! But, Seheren you beat me to the punch =P.

But yeah, the two abilities sacred flames and inner armor really feel like powers to use as mentioned, to add a boost towards victory. A quick blast of power that only lasts a short while, but the fact that they take a round to cast each (specially inner armor) kind of ruins this-- feeling.

                Again, I like this suggestion.

Bumping this back up there. I'd like to know what the staff thinks. I'd really like to see some of these feats make the instant action list.

This is an easy .2da edit I believe.

Well, if the staff decide to put it in, I think it would make some people ((me)) very happy.

Agreed... I rarely use shadow evade with Anosh because that round of casting. If it were instant, I would use HiPS less often for sure
