Angus Ironforge ventured into the Duergar's Cave and slowly made his way to the second level where Xaliordell is located. He attempted to string out his foe and his adversaries gave chase. Ultimately, he met Xaliordell alone one-on-one...

Angus was petrified by the Xaliordell, and I would like to suggest that if this happens... Xaliordell be given the ability to finish off his foe. As it was, Xaliordell was attempting melee attacks on Angus only, which could not get through his 10/DR. Angus stood there forever wishing for death, but sadly unable to do anything.

I accept the consequences of venturing into the cave. That is not the point of this post... At the prompting of others, I am asking that Xaliordell be given a Death Blow he can administer under these circumstances. As it was, a DM came in and executed a Wail of Banshee on me. In spite of my high DC, I failed my roll and was sent to the after life. A consequence I gladly accepted.

That Wail was from Xaliordell himself, I just watched (:P). Anyway, Flesh to Stone does not seem to me to be a good spell for the Environment to use against Players.

Flesh to Stone is a lot more frightening than death in Sundren. I personally like this being a transmuter, but it is a bit extreme for mobs to use the spell. The only reason I say this is because it FORCES players to need a wizard to fight a certain creature. Wizards do not need any more power or importance in day-to-day adventuring.

I'll see what I can do. Might be something like:

If petrified and HP lowers, instant death, like they shattered your statue. Or maybe a threshold.

I agree that petrifying people and having to beat them to a pulp is a pain.
