  • Dragon Disciples closer to SDR

    http://www.d20srd.org/srd/prestigeCl...onDisciple.htm

A couple things of note that differ here:

    - Bonus spells (not spell progression)
Seems like an easy way to add some "width" to the class without giving anything overpowering. You don't gain new spell levels, but you'd have more spells of the lower level variety you already have.

    - Claws and bite
    May be unbalanced to implement.

    - Wings!
This would be fun as a VFX at the very least. Could be represented with a speed boost or a dimension door / day like ability. Or at least the VFX

Low priority, but figured I'd queue it up. Thanks!

The only reason to go RDD is to make a powerful melee character, which is why most people only take one level of sorc or bard. But the truth is there's no other way to build one and still be good. I mean, all its' class abilities add to your combat and completely strip 10 levels of spell casting from you. What's the point of that?

Very cool, certainly more powerful than the one-trick pony they are currently.

The two current active RDD's are both 5 bard first. No melee, so we're doing it because it's the right thing to do . Either of the two systems would be cool though.... changing into a tiny dragon would be neat!

*looks at MoMF, looks at the polymorph system as a whole*

Are you sure it'd be neat?
It is the greatest of all mistakes to do nothing because you can only do a little - Do what you can.

I like the spell caster levels too, mostly because you can't script well the bonus spell slots.

Let's not forget though, the POINT of RDD -IS- to be better at melee. It's so bard and sorcerers can mix in some combat prowess.
