As much as I love crafting as it is(more stange loot!) I'd really like a crafting system that work besides the skil system, so that everybody could craft if they juat spent time on it. Instead of having constantly managing skillpoints. Is that what you're hinting at?

I think it's very easy for people to make assessments but the reality of doing the work is a lot different, we are a small team so if you really want to see this, bad enough to put the work in.... then do it... we will see how long it takes to get it implemented
I give example to the recent UI issues we had ingame, it was due to poor change control on our code, it happened before with the previous crafting system. There's a very good reason why Sundren doesn't just use every "cool script" or system out on the vault, and why we don't just let anyone offer to develop something for us...
To top it off, look at our recent poll, it speaks for itself ... at least 1/2 to 2/3s of the server population probably won't even use crafting or don't care that much. We can't focus a huuuuuge amount of our time and effort over months into something that a lot of people might not even use or SEE.The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.
