  • Pnp palemaster

In pnp the palemaster's range touch attack is 10+palemaster level+charisma mod, in nwn2 it's like 16 or 19.... though it'd probably be OP to have it pnp... was wondering if the PM class will ever be modified to be closer to pnp or if it will stay this way

Edit: It's kinda odd palemasters can summon elite vampires...i've read about pnp and palemasters can summon a variety of undeads with bows/or sword+shield.. would be neat if the summon greater undead Elite vampire was changed for something that makes more sense

I've never actually played pnp even though i wished i could, so please don't flame me i've been reading about palemaster pnp on the net and it's a class i love so i thought i could suggest things.. was pnp 3.5

Palemaster has already been subject to a number of spell edits, if I recall correctly it gains full spells per level now, the summon has been vastly improved and the touch attack has been tweaked to scale with level now.

I don't think we have anything else we were looking at changing.
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

Palemaster runs at almost full spell progression now which is a vast change from vanilla nwn2. I'd say take the goods and run!

Palemaster save dc's STATE it's dc 19, but they are for sure 10+level+Cha, the caster progression is every level except first, but the pets are quite weak. The strongest pet is the first pet, which is at it's strongest on par with the first version of the blackguard pet, the mummies are completely worthless, and the vampire you summon as the final "Create greater undead" is next to worthless. It's supposedly a 9 HD undead, but has only about 54 hp, which is less then most 5 HD undead, and it has no weapon. It is about as strong as the mid level animate dead zombie summon. It would probably help the class out a little if the summons were tweaked so they actually scaled UP instead of DOWN, but the class over all is certainly much stronger then it's obsidian original.

The most important addition that needs to me made to Palemasters is a periodic, automatic emote that informs nearby players of how bad they smell! Hard to keep an undead limb from smelling...dead.
