OK! How much clipping can people live with?
Scabbards as cloaks are perfectly viable if you don't mind that things move around a little bit strangely (pouches may slide halfway into the hip while running and so on). If clipping turns everyone off completely then I'll have to have a rethink.
webbing is unfortunately not really going to work below the chest due to the skeleton, thin belts would probably just vanish into the gut.It is the greatest of all mistakes to do nothing because you can only do a little - Do what you can.

I'm sure the scabbards will be popular, clipping or not. Would be cool to see more in game outside the few people that put them on RPotM winnings or on other rare armors.Presea De'Ombre - Fist of the Broken
Darcy Lothara - Lost Soul
Miyu Suhayl - Defender of Beauty
Bryna Ulric - Dark Priestess
Merry Swiftblade - Swashbuckling Tailor

Can't have any worse clipping than the NWN2 default armors.Originally posted by Doubtful View PostOK! How much clipping can people live with?

It's NWN, we are used to clipping. We will live. Give us scabbards!

What does clipping matter? From my experience, a full ninty percent of adventuering is emoting how you sit around the Second Wind firepit.

Cloud strife, Arngrim and Eddard stark beg to differ.Originally posted by chupacabra View PostI thought clipping was a feature, no?
Anyway, scabbards would rock. And oversized claymores that would be impossible to draw from one's back would be even cooler.Originally posted by roguethreeIf I had my way, clerics would have spell failure and a d6 hit die. And Favored Souls wouldn't exist.

A fine technique if you want your sword to fall out when you're running. There are plenty of ways of wearing a sword across your back, just none of them are practical for drawing the weapon quickly, and certainly not a bloody big two hander! Look at the landsknecht, they carry their zweihänders on the shoulder like polearms.
But... It's what people want though, so fair enough. It'll go on the list o stuff.

What sort of stuff would you like to see on backpacks or hips?
So far in various stages of completeness I have: small pouch (cloth), large pouch (leather), drawstring purse, bed roll, test tube potion, round potion, leather case (large), box (small), skillet/frying pan (may also get weaponised for the lols), havresack (cow pattern optional), hip scabbard (longsword), hip ring (axe), claymorish, poleaxe.
Anything else you think your trusty little adventurer should have?It is the greatest of all mistakes to do nothing because you can only do a little - Do what you can.

I want a coil of rope in various lengths that works as a usable item. It doesn't have to be on someone's back (although having it slung over a shoulder would be neat!) I just want to be able to use an item and it say: Emiliana Blackwell uses 25 ft. coil of rope.
A good adventurer needs a coil of rope!
Please.

Pfft... Reminds me.of the old PnP days with almost everyone running around with grapples, silk rope and assorted climbing gear.
Sadly it'd work best as a belt item across the chest, and for some terrible reason the game makers decided not to have that as a visual slot. Still, a small coil wouldn't be bad on the rucksack, maybe a bigger coil as a belt item for customising armour.
Usable stuff is toolset stuff, but it'd be cool to have a usable rope to provide a bonus to climb checks. It is the greatest of all mistakes to do nothing because you can only do a little - Do what you can.

Made this in toolset. Sending it to GBX! It's just a regular token-item, mind you, with weight, so it's actually a pain to carry around.Originally posted by Doubtful View PostPfft...
