  • Color splash traps

Would it be possible to add traps that when triggered will splash paint on a hidden or invisible target? Those who get hit by it will be unable to hide(hips) or turn invisible for 30 secs? Also, no damage paintballs(sling bullets) that does same thing? High spotters can help reveal hidden people for people who cant spot.

After the game, the king and the pawn go into the same box.

Cool idea, but having them as traps doesn't really help against a sneaky type! What about an alchemy thingy you can throw as an area effect?

Heh! I can just imagine Maia creeping up on someone to speak out and startle them, only to end up covered in shiny sticky confetti.

most sneak types can avoid traps altogether. it would hit the heavy stepping invisibility users the most. which I suppose a dispel trap would do as well?

I like that idea. I was thinking an arrow, bolt or bullet that on impact would mark the target but the alchemy suggestion is brilliant.

If the intent is to let people with high spot 'mark' a hiding person, then bullets/arrows/darts are the way to go.

If it was an AoE, any person in the game could just spam-toss the things and have a relatively high chance of detecting a HiPSing rogue, which doesn't seem entirely fair.

I like it, I'd additionally have the light spell be able to target a hostile creature and apply a -20 to -50 to their hide skill.

This would likely require a touch attack (since its a touch ranged spell) and/or a failed will save (similar to the Heat/Chill Metal spells).

EDIT: Agreed with Jotun's point above, it'd have to be a single target (non-stackable) effect.

The real question for me is, why?

I've seen this exact scenario played out on this server when a character refused to drop stealth after she'd been spotted.

                            Yeeeeeeeeeep.

We're probably both referring to the same character.

                            Great minds, and all.

Even if someone was hiding throwing paint bombs wouldn't reveal them. An ae alchemy thrown item might give them minus 10 to hide though. Not stack able.
