Direct Connect

I have been told time and again that people who Direct Connect cause less server lag, so I have tried on a few occasions to DC to Sundren. It doesn't work.

I'm curious if it should, and something is wrong on my end, or it doesn't at all. If so, can we fix it?

Did you append the port?

I clicked on Server Details, and wrote down the Server IP Address, and then clicked on Direct Connect and typed it in.

And now I realize I am a moron. Please feel free to delete this thread, as I have solved my own problem of using a ; instead of a : between the IP Addy and the Port.

At the top of the website on every page is the direct connect address. Even if you look at the server IP address on details it will tell you the port. If you don't type in the port it will not work.

nwn.sundren.org:5125

For best 'Direct Connection' results you're better off using the IP listed at the top of the page: nwn.sundren.org:5125

If it gets changed to an IP (as sometimes happens) ensure you append the :5125 to the end of it for porty goodness.
