Is there a way to raise the character limit on the in-game bio editor? NWN2 can actually support much longer bios than the field is allowing.

What GD says.
It's nothing more than a description field really - Best keep it to clear, concise descriptions of what people see when they look at you.It is the greatest of all mistakes to do nothing because you can only do a little - Do what you can.

I kinda wish it could be a bit longer for more in-depth detail, but I wouldn't want it more than double its current length. When you have characters with quite a lot of visible features that can't be shown in the games engine, you really have to compress it down to the point where it's nearly a bulletpointed list.
NWN1 had enough space for three decent-ish paragraphs to fit on one page, which seemed a perfect amount for me.
Any hint of a biography in an examine makes me close it, though.Running across the mountains, attacking with an oversized scalpel, cometh Helga Great-Wyrm! And she gives a mighty bellow:
"Brace yourself, oh human speck of dust! You are made of meat and I am very hungry!"

Oh, I know, and have always used it as a description. It's just referred to as the "Bio" in the sundren tool, which is why I called it that.Originally posted by Doubtful View PostWhat GD says.

Still running afoul of the character limit, but it's only a minor gripe. Did not know how easy this would be to change.Player of:

A few extra characters would be nice; even I have run out of room, and I am just writing what can physically be seen when someone looks at Emiliana. I do not want to read about a character's backstory when I 'examine,' though. Blah.Myrios Lady Emiliana Blackwell: the Iron Fist of the Legion.

I prefer just to have a funny one-liner. Most aspects of your character are in the eye of the beholder ~ what one person considers attractive features might be considered vile to the next person.
Black hair, green eyes, black pointy hat and a crooked nose normally surfices for a description

I don't think there are many people putting OOC information or backstories in their bio/description, or at least not that I have encountered.Originally posted by FoogooFish View PostA few extra characters would be nice; even I have run out of room, and I am just writing what can physically be seen when someone looks at Emiliana. As a pure description field, however, it's still a bit too short; especially if you want to include a short list of things like height/weight/build/etc (not my personal style to do it like that, but I don't take issue with other people doing it since it's still purely visual information you'd get in-character just by examining a person).Player of:

A circumstance spot/search check would surfice for gleening informationOriginally posted by ManUtd4Ever View PostAgree. I rely on this feature to provide me just the essential pieces of information I would otherwise gleem by "viewing" the person.
