    Bench Upgrades

    Hello all, just throwing out an idea,

    I was thinking about the recent situation with the benches.
    If people keep breaking, disintegrating, or otherwise vandalising the benches at the Second Wind and other places, would it not make sense to get stronger benches?
    Obviously invincible benches are out of the question, but a stone (8 hardness, 15 hp/inch), iron (10 hardness, 30 hp/inch) or adamantine (20 hardness, 30hp/inch) would certainly reduce petty vandals against small buisness owners. The less benches destroyed, the less work required to get new ones out there: it would be an investment into the community.

    Give them all 99,999 HP, no hardness, no DR... It'll bring back memories of the goblin caves in all the oldbies who like to blow up benches...

        Add the ones in Aquor to the Blackwood faction so the guards who're right next to the benches do something about players who ignore NPC proximity in their actions.

        The Second Wind benches are a little more awkward. Either hire guards or have some kind of magical Bench Golem to deal with the problem..

          I for one approve of the bench golem idea.
          Or maybe mimic-benches who EAT YOU?

                      bench destruction - grow up sundren! you acting like bored adolescents again.

                      Maybe put in a skate park, underage disco and dance hall. What a quest that could be !

                        Are the best suggestions. Watching blackwood guards or Otto annihilating people failing to account for their hair trigger tempers will never get old. Watching a helmite paladin get beaten to death by an enraged Blackwood guard for assaulting Xaayne after he refused to remove his helmet was priceless.

                              Just have a developer code something in where if the benches get attacked, they coalesce into a colossal bench elemental!
