  • Trash can

just a quick thought, there are a few areas around that are all littered with "remains". how about putting a trash can in the AFK area? doin this would alow folks to discard what they do not want and not leave areas with hundreds of little bags around.

like i said, just a quick thought.

The bags don't cause any performance issues (to the sever anyway) and there are automated scripts that take care of removing them after a little while.

Adding in an afk litter bin and running a somewhat ooc 'Keep Sundren Tidy' seems a bit over the top.

If people do wish to use trash cans then they're easily found in the kind of urban and trade environments that you'd expect them in.

        Cleanup works like this:

        - Someone enters the area, the area is set dirty.
        - Every 10 to 20 minutes after that, the area checks if it's empty of players
        - If it's empty of players, the area is cleaned up of remains, hostile spawns, etc
        - If it's not empty then it just waits another 10 to 20 minutes.

So as long as you're in an area it'll never clean up. And if an area is high traffic, it'll never clean up. But that's intentional.

We're redoing loot system to have more "Useful" stuff. If nothing else it can be vendored for some coin. That should alleviate loot bags for no reason.
