i was just reading this thread while i was alone in game. then used the "search for others" button and of the 9 players online all the search showed me was ---a few players are in AFK---
i didnt find a grp.

Why is this a big deal when sending out a tell to people seems to be the glaring answer?
Sometimes toggling searchable is needed for group RP. I am on sometimes with certain characters and don't want to be found at certain times, probably because that character is the shady type or other reasons. I'm not always unsearchable. I'm never anti-social. Send me a tell in game and you can see that for yourself.

I will restate my opinion. The player search/hide functionality is fine as is. If, for some reason, you remove hide, then remove search altogether.

Not exactly. I am saying that nobody should be able to be "searched" if they don't want to be.
