when you join the Legion i think you sould be issued a set of full plate insted of half plate or at least have a Legion style set of basic fullplate available to purchaise from the vender. I honestly don't know anyone who'd use half plate for their charicter at all.

At overhearing this, the healer from the South shifted her dilapidated light shoes on the wet cobblestones of the plaza, trying to keep the worst of the damp out. One toe poked out of a rent in the side and she sadly looked down at the wrinkled skin and bruises, courtesy of the cold, muddy and slippery trails leading to and from the township.

Searching her purse, she scraped the bottom of the bag with fingers stiff from the cold. Picking out the odd leaves and lint, she offered the paltry handful of copper to the stall vendor. He handed her a few scrawny apples, remnants of last season's picking, and some change. These apples would considered too poor to be fed to the family goat in her home town.

"There y'go," he muttered shortly as he watched her half-suspiciously. His eyes stayed on her, to ensure no mischance with his wares or slight-of-hand.

"Thank you sir. May the blessings of the Painbearer be upon you and yours," she said, as she fumbled the fruit into her basket.

Turning, she stared at the back of the Legionnaire as he strode pridefully away, looking neither left nor right, the commoners parting for him automatically, as was right.

Slumping a little, she gathered her thin linen skirt closer to her against the icy gusts of wind and counted the few coins in her palm. Tilting it in the uncertain light of the cloudy afternoon, she wondered if she had enough to afford to sleep somewhere warm that night, or if it would be the uncertain shelter of a thicket once again.

Full plate is no good for Legion Bards, Mages, Spys and Assassins either, perhaps a coupon could be issued to players instead, used to requisition the proper attire for their class, if something can not be scripted? The Legion is not the only faction with this problem, though probably the worst of the bunch taking nearly everyone except vampires... well except for that one.

Standard Issue is standard issue.

Think of it like joining a real police force, except you can specialize pretty much instantly rather than having to do a year or mores probation/beat first.

Failing that, or if you'd like to have a DM Drill Sergeant call you a pretty little princess all dancing around in your light armour like some kind of orc loving nancy boy, whattaya going to do Sheila, waltz your enemies to death? Then just ask a DM IG and we can see what we can do.

For the new players to the server... gear, good gear, and great gear is exponentially harder to come by on this server as you will find. Free half-Plate at lvl 5 or so is quite a gift. By design it should take you a good while to come across +2 anything in my experience. As for the half plate... sell it, melt it down and make steins, whatever... after all, you are just a grunt!
