All gods love brambles, and want their followers to prick people with them. Or at least that's what I'd always assumed.Originally posted by DM Cornuto View PostI don't even understand why Clerics and FS get brambles to begin with.

Agree on Brambles.I can see the argument for that, and I'd also offer up brambles (lol +10 damage) and Holy sword (just fix the persistent bug) for the chopping block.
Bringing Holy Sword (+5 eb v. evil for 7-10 rounds, 2d6 dmg v. evil until you unequip, so it's not cast until combat, anyway) down is only going to further limit the paladins that aren't me, but if we've got to take from the bottom end to reign in the top, then so be it.
Persistent Haste would make running dungeons hella easy.Originally posted by CornutoGlad everyone's being extra fucking ridiculous today.

I assume its in the game because Druids have a +4 str and 1d8 flame as our only combat buff (sans shapeshifting).Originally posted by Lilene Jora View PostKnow it's off topic but...why is brambles even in the game? I mean, it basically makes the lowly club the single best cleric weapon in the game, especially with impact, and GMW tossed in for spice. And +10 to anything for whatever low level spell slot it occupies (3?) is pretty absurd.
But yeah, it's pretty whack.Originally posted by ThePaganKingSo, the roguethree bootlickers strike again.

Add to that - If I see another Icefury with a flaming weapon... *nerdrage/blockdivine*Originally posted by Kaizen View Postlol brambles does need to be taken off the list.
if I see another cleric/FS not using their deity's favored weapon in favor of a club... *nerd rages*It is the greatest of all mistakes to do nothing because you can only do a little - Do what you can.

...wait. You mean I've been missing out on Brambles goodness because I think swords look cool?
All this time?
*tear.*
In general, I'm more in favor of 'cooler stuff for other classes' as opposed to 'take toys away from the powerful ones.' Especially since it's been repeatedly stated that the item balance on the server is going to be shifted (though have heard that one for a few years now! Please don't smite me, devs). The only real change I see for this is a heavier emphasis towards burst damage as opposed to sustained damage for high-level divine casters, thus meaning that once battletide goes up, conversation stops.Adama who was once called Adama Hrakness, sacred paw of Mielikki
Lihana Farrier, Paladin of Torm and noble dalliance
On Hold: Alandriel Ward, Actually a Vampire Groupie
Retired for Good: Tamryn Jorandur, Hano's Wife and Conflicted Soul

I'm quite comfortable with losing persistent Divine Favor.
If persistent Prayer goes, so be it. However, Prayer is a group buff like Bless and Recitation. The list of spells that help those other than the cleric and fully stack with other effects is not long. I would rather it be made so it affects party members but not the caster, rather than lose persist.

@Doubt
We really need a cold dmg sword spell for that...
@Anyone who thinks Haste should be persistable
I think this is a holdover from the rage against EK's (that it isnt persistable) as most EK's can get the full four/seven attacks per round they could garner another unfair advantage with haste giving them +1"Half the lies they tell about me aren't true."
