Unbuffed fighter. Buffed dragon. I was at 40 health close enough.

Also maybe its just the buggy char sheet, but Powerattack doesnt add any damage when in Giant forms.

EDIT: The giant weilds a greataxe as a one handed weapon and does not get a 1.5x str mod damage so that would explain why I wouldn't notice the damage difference. It still however doesn't show on the char sheet.

        Power Word: Crash isn't powerful?

Kidding aside, it's honestly too bad that the beholder creature causes crashes. The thing is pretty damn cool..

It is pretty awesome. That form, I don't think needs a tweak. Maybe a few more AC, but even without its not too shabby.

As for the mindflayer DC's, maybe something like... 10+MoMF level+int mod? Instead of the static DC now. The same for the fey forms, only maybe +WIS/CHA. Scaling DC's would help a lot of the forms be more useful longer.

Going to raise this incredibly old thread with a a suggestion from the OP. I feel for what is gained, the class requirements are too high. I would like to see it down to perhaps 1 feat and DM approval. OR. Perhaps the class could be given High BAB and minor spell casting. Those two changes shouldn't be too difficult, ((Give them Warpriest Spell progression?)) and might breathe a little life into a class that is woefully under used.

Despite it's lack of use I must say I would hate to see this class go, as it has so much potential to be awesome. Despite its many bugs and shortfalls I had a lot of fun with it. Lets just give it a little punch and see where it takes us.

Also this. It really hurts that one of the Frost Giant's staple abilities is it gives power attack but the weapon type doesn't work. Not sure if there is a way to fix that. If it is looked at, perhaps it's AC could be tweaked too as AC granting spells seem to give its low AC little help.

EDIT: Looks as though a greataxe in the hands of a giant is supposed to be 3d6 and count as a larger weapon. If it is possible to create this new version, or switch to the great club maybe that would fix the Power Attack issue.

I'm personally all for the MoMF being upgraded. I remember fighting a full blooded MoMF as Tigen, and I used shapechange to turn into a nightwalker and fought his adult dragon form. And I completely wrecked him. He spent his entire character career learning to just change shape, and those same levels gave me a spell that single handedly is stronger then his whole class, and does exactly what he does basically. That is lame. The faction stores are all being tweaked, gear is going to get better, there's really no reason to keep a class that can't make use of most gear weak.

Assume I've got the time to write out a bitter and cynical reply highlighting the huge gulf between awesome potential and terrible, terrible bug ridden horror of its implementation.

The wildshape: gamecrash form is pretty cool though.

I can handle the crashes as long as the forms are updated a bIt!

Druids will always be better in PnP than in the engine. I was planning on having my druid become a MoMF, but everyone told me how buggy and useless it was. It would take quite a bit of planning and work to get the class balanced for use in this engine, and the circle itself is gone for now. While from a Druid perspective Sundren needs a new circle now more than ever, it doesn't do much for the rest of the server. XD

I think this class may always be on the wrong side of the work/payoff ratio. I would definitely be in line to get a respec should I be proven wrong though.

just remember that when you run events I will use that as a class feature.

I see this class working in well with the aurilites. I mean what aurilite doesn't want to patrol around as a frost giant?

I agree with this thread whole heartedly. Shifted MoMF should be able to best anything that the shapeshift spell can dredge up.

It is soooo broken and buggy though I am at a loss as to what should be done with it. I have a high level MoMF and I stopped playing him because:

                              1. he takes so much damage (ACs all stink.)
                              2. cannot use healing (other than spells which often get disrupted)
                              3. cannot safely shift out while in combat or shift directly to a different form.
                              4. low health in a high con form - you shift out you die. (In PnP you actually healed every time you shifted.)
                              5. you have to spend 2 wildshapes per transition. (should get a free shift after every trans)
                              6. Ever-shifting form still had a limit of 10 /day
                              7. the coolest forms crash or suck.

Perhaps best to scrap the class and reinvent it in a way that would work in NWN2.

All but one and a half of those issues are fundamental mechanical/engine problems.

I love the class, it's got such awesome RP potential. But even increasing the stats on the forms would only be patching up a sinking ship. It was horrendously broken before Kaeldorns changes and would remain so even if they were changed back.
