  • Mold and Schematics -

Now I could possibly be crazy and missed like 20 thousand places... But I am not crazy and I might have missed 1.

I've Searched the Port, Aquor, Merchants, Exigo, and Sundren City. I can't find a shortsword molding ANYWHERE. Also - I haven't been able to find the schematic for either a mithril short sword or adamantite short sword.

Is both of these a rare drop?

Are these not sold for a reason?

Did I possibly just miss a place?

It would be much apprecaited if these four things could be added somehow. I mean :P I can find a good molding and Schematics for almost any weapon besides maybe 2.

Probably faction exclusive on the adamantium and mithral, usually is for those materials.
Black Tax sounds like the place to look for short swords and the more exotic plans.

Alternatively, if you're high enough of a level and have a lot of time to waste, the Mossdale blacksmith used to drop adamantium plans.

No idea about the lack of an actual molding though, I'd assume you just missed it.
"Sir, we're surrounded!" "Excellent! Now we can attack in any direction."

I looked again and either I am blind or I am stupid.

No molding for a shortsword to be found.

They have to be either non-existant or faction exclusive.

Edit: I couldn't imagine why a molding would be exclusive....

        They aren't.

I went and took a look for you, Torran Stonecracker at the Exigo Trading Post sells short sword molds.
I imagine others do as well, but people do miss these things.

        Anyways, there you go.

Thank you so much. I guess I either Overlooked him/her because I honestly didn't think he/she of all people would have it, or I just missed it completely. Either way, again thank you.

Now, if you can search and find the Mithril or Adamantite Schematics :P That might get you a few stags.

All mithral and adamantine plans are rare drops. People sometimes sell them off at the trading post or (an unfortunate side effect of them offering better prices) to their faction stores.

The Exigo Faction has plans for a lot of stuff, I do not even bother to keep track of them. Asking those members of upstanding factions, or posting a want ad in the Exigo forum might get you results. Two of my toons could solve the Mithral plans and Mold problem, if they just knew you were looking.

But hey Nati is selling a +2 short sword, why waste your money on molds and plans.

Mkk - THanks everyone for the support.

I don't wanna open up another thread, I feel like a troll already for using the forums so much.

Could someone please also tell me how enchanting works?

                Like

                I buy:
                Short Sword +2
                +2 to Attack Rolls.

Could I then enchant it with the Thundering Incanation so it would be

                Short Sword +2
                +2 to Attack Rolls.
                1D4 Sonic Damage.

                ?

Any other additional info about enchanting would be helpful.
Obviously I am a newbie and I LOVEEE to learn stuff.

There's a 3 enchant maximum on weapons and armour.

And an additional limit on the +damage enchants you can apply on a weapon. 2 maximum, of types that do not oppose eachother. For instance, you could have +1d4 fire and +1d4 electricity, but not fire and cold.

                  Opposing types are:
                  fire & cold
                  electricity & acid
                  holy & unholy
                  anarchic & axiomatic

I suggest talking to your local enchanters and smiths in-character about the way special materials and enchanting are handled in the customised setup Sundren has.

A number of things are very different in Sundren compared to standard NWN2. For instance, there are also alchemical gold weapons in Sundren, which have their own bonuses and limitations.

Anyone reading the notices up at the Trade Post could probably guess that mithral weapons are a popular choice and that enchantment is rather effort-intensive and expensive.

impossable, the natral material +2 magic damage counts as one of the three enchantments alowed. unless things have changed. it will also give the enchanter 40-50 fatigue points, thats just about half the alowed lot and just under the -STATS level of fatigue, you recover 1 a day.
