Mmmk... so..... I finally got Banite armor and was using in the wild, then get killed by 4 people who didn't like Banites..... Now... They were using invis pots and were Legion/Palis.

Ever since then I have been told I am "Black Hand" and "A asshole" and, "I don't like you" and "I am gonna kill you." >.>

So..... Your telling me I am the cause of my own demise for beign known as a Banite? Was I really suppose to expect lvl 15+'s traveling through a lvl 6 - 10 zone? I had on a mask but a guy I knew recognized my hair and voice... So I mean, just tell me right now if I should remake a character so I can play this server Cause I like being a Banite and Blackhand, but I am not gonna run around doing nothing simply because EVERYONE has the right to kill a Banite as long as no one saw anthing.

Edit: The whole point I put this thread up, is because people SHOULDN'T have to rely on buffers or tanks anyhow. In fact, I understand this is ment to be a party/RP server... But how the hell are banites supposed to do anything? Expecially with the fact that NO ONE and I mean NO ONE fears them.

    Could someone put on rules:
All Banites: Do not join the Black Hand or acknowladge you are a Banite, unless you are level 17+. Wearing Banite armor also lets people know you are Black Hand.
Sure I am griefing, but oh well....

This has long been an issue.

I suggest the Black Hand consider making a non-descript grey set of enchanted plate available for their more-discrete members, who don't want to wander the valley dressed identically to their mass-murdering amulet-of-bane-wearing monologuing compatriots.

Of course, most of the overtly evil ones seem to not wear the notorious set of which we speak, but I've seen some who have.

I've always felt that the first rule of being a secret member of an evil organisation bent on world domination should be: Don't dress in black.

I'd suggest leaving the faction armor as a uniform, as Banites are bold and definitely rock the uniform. For the Black Hand members that don't want to be noticed, don't wear it during social hour at the fire. Hell, if I wanted to hide the fact that I'm part of a militant, evil organization, I'd be doing my damndest to look neither militant nor evil.

It's supposed to be hard to be evil, folks.

Funny, I thought it was "No pussies allowed. We only want people that will actually do evil stuff here, not evil people who want to be part of the coolest faction, but actually want to just be friends with everyone so we can knit wooly hats and have dolly tea-parties together."

          Or something like that.

            Yes, it is.

Definitely seconding the non-descript enchanted armor idea, though.
It's one thing to waltz into the campfire with the Adeodadus infamy armor slapped on, it's another to use what's available to you out in the wild, with a mask on to top it off, and still get called out and forever be ganked for it.

You should remake as a Favored Soul though, before the staff finally decides to restrict that sucker.
"Sir, we're surrounded!" "Excellent! Now we can attack in any direction."

              ...I play a Banite.

He just rats out the other Banites.

              Because you know... Fuck them.

You can still torture/murder etc. Just don't monologue about it or give into the temptation to let everyone know.

As I said, I really do like the Black Hand. It is probly just the fact that I was found to be a Banite by a VERY VERY slim UNLUCKY chance. I think what is eating at me the most, is the inability to interact with society. I'll take a break for a few and see how things go.

^.^ I am not dropping the fact that I don't want more dungeons though , tee hee.

I am sorry you have experienced this ugly side of PVP. Believe me when I say IT HAPPENS. But, also hear me when I say, that there are good things that can come of this. The tables can easily turn. I was going through the VD forest and a group of high level Banites happened upon our party.

Usually though, unless they have something against your toon, personally, they leave you alone, spouting FEAR me and the like. It is funny that being an EVIL character shows you just how NOT good supposedly GOOD players are. Also might have something to do with the fact that EVIL toons are victimized like this more often and know how it feels.

PVP sucks when you have no chance of winning and all it amounts to is you spending some time in the fugue. If there is a good reason behind the PVP, then even if you have no chance of winning, you still get a good story.

                  My advice you:
-Try to keep the story in mind.
-Read Urithrand's RP post about Master Locke.
                  -Don't sweat the small stuff.
-Have it out with you murderers OOC tell them how it made you feel.
-Find some friends and get even. (There really are a ton of BlackHands)

                  My advice to everyone:
-PLAY NICE DAMMIT! Golden Rule! You might remember it from such classics as, Kindergarden or Preschool.
-If you are good, play good! (mercy, compasion, etc.)
-While you don't NEED someone to agree to PVP, it helps if everyone is playing together.
-If you do kill someone, send a character request to the DMs, to award the dude/dudette some XP for being a good sport and playing it out well.

I don't want to divert, but what this post has moved to I have seen and it irritates the hell out of me. Currently, we have a number of supposedly good and lawful characters, many of them paladins, running around and ganking people just because they think they are Banite or evil or they smell funny.

I say its bullshit and very, very poor RP. If the Banite has his papers and is legal and you cannot prove he did anything illegal or is the Black Hand, then RP you don't like him, make fun of him, throw snowballs at him, but don't just gank him, especially without saying anything, RPing it, or merely saying...."die evil bastard."

I am going to make it a point to have my lawful neutral Sacred Fist beat the shit out of lawful, especially paladin, types that just go around killing characters without justification and RP reasons. Well, if I witness it

Agreed - Some folk get to hung up on the whole 'I paladin; smite evulz' and less on the other aspects of the faith they're supposedly figure heads for.

Not that it applies to all paladins, (different tenants, gods and so on may have different approaches), but if you're a paladin for a god of law, order and judicial process, and you go around casually murdering folk because they looked funny, then you may find yourself rapidly earning yourself a Fallen token.
It is the greatest of all mistakes to do nothing because you can only do a little - Do what you can.

Really hope this isn't for people attacking Lynch because he runs around with his buddy with the summoned skeleton. While wearing their matching banite armor. That is all.

One of my toons was running around the rural farm at the Crossroads completing the "Splitting Hare" quest the other day. He is a Lawful Good Sun Soul Monk. Anyways, he was wearing monk robes with a hard coded hood and face mask; but given the recent change in Sundren Law allowing masks and hoods, he didn't think anything of it.

A message appeared informing me that someone (who it is/was is not important) didn't like me. I turned and noticed a Paladin walking down the path towards the rest area. I sent the person a Tell and asked them if they minded taking me off hostile, which they eventually did...

The entire event was a non-issue, but I mention it only because it does inform the point made by ThePaganKing above.

                              Cheers!

If a person is walking around at night, wearing a skull mask and claiming that they help undead, that seems like plenty of grounds for smiting.
