  • Arcane Scholar of Candlekeep: Skillset

I've noticed that the Arcane Scholars of Candlekeep lack all knowledge skills. I suggest that these are added, since it makes no sense to me - at least - as to why these would be missing from any type of scholar.

Looking over the description in the PrC, it even assumes that Arcane Scholars happen to be mostly wizards, which have access to all knowledge skills. Even if one were not a wizard, the study of working magic were require (in my opinion) at the very least Knowledge: Arcana, if not Knowledge: Planes as well.

Though I'd ideally like to see all knowledge skills. Thank you.

The class skills are set (to my knowledge) exactly as PnP states.

Edit: They might not be, I forget the knowledge skills are Sundren custom...

I believe the class was actually created by Obsidian Entertainment for Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer. Meaning, there's no PnP standards to follow. Also, I want to add that knowledge skills are in PnP (here), the only one not included in Sundren is Knowledge: Psionics. Thank you for the interest though!

Has this been looked into or being discussed? I've no problem with it still being thought over, I'm just curious as to where this stands currently. Thank you.

They should probably get knowledge skills, yes. The concept is pretty much based on the Archmage PRC, which gets Knowledge(All).

Not to mention that the name pretty much implies Knowledges to be their thing
Johanna Patson:"Take a chance! All life is a chance. The man who goes farthest is generally the one who is willing to do and dare."
            (Original quote by Dale Carnegie)

            Ranahlee: Perpetually Perplexed.

Sylvain Enoic: Young paladin of Tyr.
            ---------
Stalking on the mountains, clutching a jeweled meat hammer, cometh Sypthe! And they give a vengeful bellow:"I'm going to hump you so thoroughly, you will drink poison and piss honey!"

So, not to beat a dead horse, but ... I assume this will be added in the next update - hopefully?

Sorry, but suggestions are just suggestions and even if we say we agree that it's a good one, that doesn't mean we will get right to implementing it. If at all.. there's a lot to do and we have to prioritise.

Please refrain from bumping your suggestions. Except perhaps if it has been very long (read: weeks or even months) since a topic was responded to, and you feel that it might need another look.
