Could more of the Area of Effect spells be changed to include everyone in the area?

My biggest suggestions would be for Word of Faith, Storm of Vengeance and Sunburst.

Word of Faith: Rather than only affect enemies could this be changed to affect anyone in the area that either has a different alignment from the caster? The dnd versions: Holy Word and Unholy Word, affect anyone of a nongood/nonevil alignment, neutral aligned people included.

Storm of Vengeance: Could it either affect everyone, or be like a self-targeted meteor swarm that has a 10ft diameter 'eye'?

Sunburst: Since the spell is really just an insanely bright eruption of light could it affect everyone in the area? I could see it not affecting the caster for the simple reason that they would know the right moment to look away, but there's no reason allies and neutrals would be immune, but enemies wouldn't.

Storm of Vengeance in particular being party-friendly is ridiculous, unless you assume the caster is aiming the individual acidic rain-drops.

Doesn't this already hurt the party?

James uses the spell regularly and it's never blinded his party members. You might be thinking Sunbeam.

These seem like good solid suggestions to me, I would be on board with that.
I am death, come for thee. Surrender, and thy passage shall be... quicker.

A brilliant explosion occurs where you direct, causing 1d6 points of magic damage per caster level (to a maximum of 25d6) to all undead. Non-undead creatures suffer only 6d6 points of magic damage. Vampires are destroyed instantly if they fail a Reflex saving throw. All enemies in the area of effect must also make a successful Reflex saving throw or be blinded.
I think the damage -isn't- party friendly, but the blindness part is... which still doesn't make much sense.

The SRD clarifies that everything should be blinded.
Sunburst causes a globe of searing radiance to explode silently from a point you select. All creatures in the globe are blinded and take 6d6 points of damage. A creature to which sunlight is harmful or unnatural takes double damage. A successful Reflex save negates the blindness and reduces the damage by half.

An undead creature caught within the globe takes 1d6 points of damage per caster level (maximum 25d6), or half damage if a Reflex save is successful. In addition, the burst results in the destruction of any undead creature specifically harmed by bright light if it fail its save.

The ultraviolet light generated by the spell deals damage to fungi, mold, oozes, and slimes just as if they were undead creatures.

Sunburst dispels any darkness spells of lower than 9th level within its area.
I think the last two parts are pretty nifty, not sure how much extra effort would be needed to add them in, though.

I've never had to make a save to avoid blindness for Sunburst.

                Love all these suggestions.

I actually object the Sunburst idea, since basicly this spell is an undead-kicker, which aims to hurt light-sensitive creatures. It is an insane burst of light, that causes a really bright flesh to those who aren't light-sensitive, so I think that the appropriate thing to is to take off the 6d6(which really doesn't matter for a 9th level spell) and leave the blindness to affect everyone.

Storm of Vengeance and Word of Faith seem cool though.

IF anyone decides to change these spells as Devs, I'm going to note they should not harm friendlies for NPC casters. Reason being AI can't aim and not include it's buddies like PCs can.

So if PCs want to blow themselves up, go ahead.
