  • A Priest in the Grove

Would it be possible to add a Priest to the Grove in the Viridale?

Would give the nature-folks that avoid civilisation a place to raise their fallen, since all the other shrines I know of are either in the cities or up a mountain.
Running across the mountains, attacking with an oversized scalpel, cometh Helga Great-Wyrm! And she gives a mighty bellow:
"Brace yourself, oh human speck of dust! You are made of meat and I am very hungry!"

Druids get raise dead spells too, actually. They've used it a few times in DM handled encounters.. but true, adding a scripted NPC to raise would be handy.

Yeah, afaik Druid's don't have Raise Dead. So I figure a Priest of Meilikki or something would make sense.

Ah, I looked it up and you are actually right.. they don't. That's odd though, because in older editions they did get the spell (just not resurrection).

Druids get reincarnate, so you have a 4% chance of returning as an orc :P

3rd Edition druids do get a raising spell called 'Last Breath', but that's a 4th level spell that needs be cast within the next round of the said character's death. The bright spot is that it's only 4th level and that it doesn't impose the usual PnP level loss... but it really needs to be cast at the earliest opportunity or otherwise it won't work.

I do agree that the Glade could have its own respawn points for faction members, in addition to an actual nature priest/cleric NPC whom would have access to the Raise spell. I could picture the peaceable Nes'Anah being a cleric of Eldath rather than a druidess and providing care to the wounded.
