I have in the past, played on several servers that had some sort of teleportation spells. As a cleric, I remember having Recall as a spell, in which each area was assigned an individual code name for the teleport spell, and clerics had Recall. With recall, you'd cast the spell to designate a return point, for instance, I cast mine at the temple. Out on the road, I could cast recall, and go to that predetermined area. Teleport worked something like, but you had to type the area name in, that you wanted to go, but you had to roll skill checks to determine the area names, in those areas. That way you could only teleport places where you had been.
All of this was in Neverwinter 1. Recently I've been trying to find similar scripting to accomplish this for a module I run every so often. In that search I located this package. It includes Arcane Mark, which functions as a return point, then teleport, and teleport circle as well.
