I can only assume this has been suggested somewhere but I would like it if there is an event calander to show players what events are being run where and for who so people can join in.

We haven't put any events in this calendar in a dog's age... usually we make some kind of forum announcement. If we did put it on that Calendar I don't know if people would look there. The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

Seriously. Has that always been there?Characters:
Peridan Twilight, one-eyed dog of the Legion, deceased.
Daniel Nobody, adventurer and part time problem solver.
[DM] Poltergeist : If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge an intermediate deity's unbridled fury.

There are actually quite a few member names and links there, but they only lead to the members' public profiles. There is nothing with an event icon. To top it off, there is nothing in the Wiki to even explain the events calendar.
As far as forum announcements go, I'm guessing that the postings about the party at the Talent and Balance was an announcement of an event. I was unable to attend, so I don't know for sure. Apart from that, how does one recognize such an announcement?
I think that an effort to have events posted on the calendar would be useful, even if there is a forum announcement. It would help new people to find their way to events.
Personally, the only event I've been able to participate in was because I stumbled into the middle of it, if it really was an event, that is. I also stumbled into the middle of prep for one. In both cases I had no idea an event would be going on. A good calendar would be a great help, even if I'm only able to participate in a few of the ones that are run.Cheers,
Dave
