  • Crystal of Truedeath

    I noticed there's a lot of crit-immune enemies around.

Seems awfully poor for a rogue, who would have to be at least level 21 to do anything meaningful against them.

Is there anything in the way of Truedeath or Undead's Ruin weapons around? (That allow critical hits and half sneak attack damage to undead, for the uninformed)

If not, is there any chance there could be such implemented? I'd like to play a sneak, but I hate the idea of being utterly useless as anything but a lockpick on legs once crit immunity falls in, which is often.

I don't claim to know massive amounts about the NWN2 engine, but I'd imagine simply granting the Precision feat would work enough.
Running across the mountains, attacking with an oversized scalpel, cometh Helga Great-Wyrm! And she gives a mighty bellow:
"Brace yourself, oh human speck of dust! You are made of meat and I am very hungry!"

There is such a critter in game. I think the materials are tough to get, but I know of at least one toon that has a weapon capable of sneak/crit hits on undead.

Sorry...no idea how to make it, though.

Critical immunity is hardcoded, undead and constructs should be the only ones who have it other than PCs/NPCs with a spell.

To my knowledge there is no way to bypass the immunity even with scripting.
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

We have plenty of zones that have crit/sneak vulnerable enemies across all level ranges. Most classes will have some venues in which they're just not as effective. So it goes.

Amen to that. It's a problem when you get to higher levels playing a sneak attack type character, but that's just how the dice roll unless you manage to put in a lot of work for otherwise.

There is always the shadowbane stalker class! Overpowered divineyness mixed up with a dash of sneak damage

Its just a shame there is no class in 3.5 that combines druid and rogue abilities; that really would be pretty neat..

Agreed. I have a Shadowbane Stalker. Poor guy has been stuck at level 6 forever and can't go anywhere without a group (and a good group at that).

I have not played one on sundren, no.
I have played one in PnP (My friend was the knightly counterpart ~ the Inquisitor is it?) and it was a right ruckus for the DM; Having to contend with two half divine/sneak characters who can cover each others weaknesses!

No Shadowbane Inquisitor on Sundren, unfortunately. =(

I would kill for the Nightsong Enforcer and Nightsong Infiltrator PrC's though. =X
