  • Class Synergy Feats!

Would it be possible to have some feats that give better multiclassing synergy?
things like Daring Outlaw (Swashbuckler/Rogue), Ascetic Hunter (Monk/Ranger?) e.t.c.

I dont think these things would be overpowered because you are trading in quite a lot to receive slightly elevated dual-class features (like the Theurge for example). Would add a lot of roleplaying flavour as well Im sure!

I'm on the fence here. On one hand, I have a vested interest in seeing Daring Outlaw added to the server (My main would really benefit), but as far as it being powerful, I'm getting full SA progression on my Swash levels and full Grace progression with my rogue levels in exchange for just one feat. You don't really give up much at all. It's hard to imagine a rogue/swash build that WOULDN'T take Daring Outlaw if it's available.

And as much as I gripe and complain (mainly because of freakin' unturnable vampires), SA isn't an underpowered ability (that statement is going to come back to haunt me, I know).

On the other hand, maybe a little overpowering is due melee to even things up.

The idea behind multiclassing has always been exchanging Power for diversity. And I'd disagree that the MT is only slightly elevated. It's a little powerhouse.

I'd rather see some things like FS having wings (instead of that silly haste ).... There, I've said it, I want wings!
Bree - Bookkeeper and diplomat of Exigo.

Becky Dragonhin - Sword of the Loyal Fury, Knight of the Triad... the only Good hin in Sundren???
      Cybil Gelley (Retired)
Perry Turnipfodder - aspiring talent, happy chronicler.

I think Swashbuckler is a vastly underused class, unfortunately. I think Daring Outlaw might actually help that, to be honest. I just wonder how difficult it would be to code such.

As to Favored Souls having wings. God, no. Please, for the of god, don't do it. I don't give a crap if PnP says they get them. Because Favored Souls are supposed to be incredibly rare, where as we have tons of them on Sundren.

Seeing a bunch of winged people would make me want to vomit.

Not too hard since it's already available in K's PrC pack.

It's always been sundren's stance that we don't use third-party PrCs. If it would get added to the server, it'd be coded by us.

Doesn't mean you can't look at it for ideas on how to code it. I was just saying that it has been done, so it's not like requesting ridable horses.

I like the idea though... anything to push people away from caster-classes.

Yes a little powerhouse. You forget one protection spell and your brown bread with your measly D4 Hitdie, Low AB, No aditional special abilities or skillpoints. What Im trying to say is that multiclassed characters have to actually acheive a high level before they come into their own and feats like the ones I've mentioned might actually level the feild a bit for people who dont want to stay straight! (level wise -.-)

Don't forget the power of a dispell magic or (especially) disjunction on a MT, who usually doesn't have the stat power to have a truely great DC.

I think dispel checks are based on caster level rather than DC.

dispel check is 1d20 + 1 per caster level (to a maximum of +10) versus 11 + spell effect's caster level.
MT with practiced spellcaster really isn't in any worse position than a normal mage as far as dispelling goes.

Fine then. Go ahead and use your "Knowledge of the Rules" to defeat my gibberish.

Did I mention I usually play melee?

MT don't need no boost. Nyuh uh, they already have more magic than god.
                            I got one leg missin'
                            How do I get around?
