    Personal Philosophy:
Hold yourself to a high standard. Do not expect other people to meet this standard.

My strongly religious Gold Dragon Disciple Wannabe seems to be more religious than most Clerics, Druids, or FS's about. However, just to hammer a point home, I'm making a Cleric.

Look out for my devoted-as-hell Tempusite coming soon to a campfire near you.
Running across the mountains, attacking with an oversized scalpel, cometh Helga Great-Wyrm! And she gives a mighty bellow:
"Brace yourself, oh human speck of dust! You are made of meat and I am very hungry!"

I am not down with the idea at all.Mainly, because in all the novels I have read the blessings are usually pre-prepared by prayer which is usually done in solitude.Yes,some priests of certain faiths call their deity's name aloud when using their power..but their are many who do not, because their spells /blessings are usually granted in prayer.

For example,a priest of Mask prepares blessings/spells that will be useful to him at midnight for the following day, which he or she would use at will without saying Mask's name. When these blessings/spells are used up,they are gone until the next time prayer comes about or if this priest is highly favored,he or she may be able to call upon their diety in dire times for assistance.

As someone stated, you will only be able to discern ones faith if they are trying to resurrect you, openly states their faith by words, motives,or symbols.

Still, in the case of Clerics that are not followers of dark, hidden or secretive Gods, they're trained, expected, and pretty much required to be the priests of their faith, actively preaching and converting more to the cause.

Therefore any Cleric who won't say his God will likely be in service to one of these secretive, and generally illegal or evil deities (Cyric, Mask, etc).

You don't get given divine spellcasting power for just stuffing a holy symbol in your back pocket. You've devoted your life to your God as his or her most devout priest. You've pride, dedication, and a forceful zeal that should generally be apparent to anyone you meet. Your deity is your life, you live for them and are fully willing to die for them. Because of this, you're selected to bring forth the deity's power to further Their work. You're their tool in the world, shaping the land in their image to the best of your ability.
