  • Modification to Light Spell

in my recent explorations of a few other PW to see what people have been up to with new content etc, i did find a modification to the light spell i am suggesting for Sundren. it removed the UGLY STUPID BALL above the head but still emits the glow of light -- this is how the spell should have been, makes you want to use the light spell again and is really really a great change in my opinion. i have no clue how they are doing this, but maybe they'd share it? or it's on the vault?

also: since i only ever played Dmytri Quartz here i had never seen the custom Cleric spells, but like the custom mage spells, my hat is truly off to you guys, so fun to have useful new spells and an interesting variety, close wounds (ranged healing) saved my companion from death tonight and it was really exciting because i couldn't run to her without getting killed from attacks of oppotunity. can't wait to see the higher cleric level spells as i progress. KUDOS! (still i heart illusionary wall so much!) this amazing level of spell customization still makes Sundren such a unique and fun experience with a bucket load of strategy too. thanks.

You can cast light on any gear you're wearing to glow instead of getting the ball of light.
Mari: A hin with little purpose.

Angelise Bryont: Paladin and Dawnbringer of Lathander, Master of Radiance, freelance member of the Arbiter's Alliance. (On Hold)

I like to use the glowing ball to intentionally blind characters.

I mean, if you can cast it anywhere on their person, you can certainly cast it on their eyeballs.

to my understanding its only as bright as candle light, not enough to "blind" people unless they just spent a lot of time in the dark

A candle is still enough to kill someone's night vision.

I assume you're referring to Dark Vision. In this case, it's nothing like the technology of Night Vision in modern day reality.

            Light does not spoil it:

I didn't mean a game mechanic. I was referring to how the man holding a lantern in darkness can't see anything, but everyone can see him.

Pupil dilation, that sort of thing.

Spacedog = your post had me so excited. but if you cast it on inventory item there is a small glow, but if you enter, say, the sewer, there is no light emitted at all if light is cast on weapon, shield, or armor. doesn't work.

It's always worked in the past.

Yeah. But those are the kinds of characters that are just completely mad anyway. Sane adventurers would be wise to shy away from them.

                        Sundren has Sane Characters....

                        Gromlin Definetly missed that memo.
