  • Oozes and MoMF

I know they were probably removed for good reason, but I have to suggest they be re-implemented for MoMF.. I mean seriously, who doesnt want to be a gelatinous cube or perhaps a pudding from time to time?! I would very much love to myself.

Removed for good reason - They won't be returning.

Even if, due to some series of improbable events, they did return they would be substantially reduced from their old specifications.

I wouldnt mind. It would just be funny.

by the way... Should the Rust monster form be a badger? Just curious.

Perhaps they could be integrated into the cooking mechanics... Black Pudding, for example...

The Rust monster was removed due to massive griefing potential.

It also won't be making a return.

I'm begining to think the best solution to the many, many things brought up about MoMFs would be the simple removal of the class.

NOO! *runs and hides* Perhaps it would just be better if the Wiki was updated so that I know what forms are out and what are in. And to be honest.. What the hell is a Rust Monster anyway?

Rust monsters eat metal. So anyone wearing metal armor or carrying a metal weapon....

See I didnt know this.. I just like the idea of tons of forms with cool things like the mindflayer abilities.

                    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rust_monster

It's actually a fairly weak little creature, but can destroy any metal object it encounters.

Armour, boots, gloves, weapons, helmets... It'll happily destroy them utterly and forever with a touch.

There used to be a Black Pudding that spawned as part of a quest in the Viridale (Orc Fort)

Similar to the Rust Monster a Black Pudding can happily chomp through anything except stone - It led to a substantial amount of comedy as people fled, and much less comedy as people didn't know what the creature could do and decided to try and kill it.

I believe it was eventually removed after a number of "I had a fight and all my weapons and armour vanished. I spent XX thousand on that and demand a refund!" style threads.

That black pudding made an appearance recently, when two paladins went into the sewers and defeated a cultist of the Demon Lord Juiblex, Lord of Slimes. The paladins successful destroyed the taint, ending the threat of more black puddings showing up. YOU CAN THANK US LATER.

Heh, they're still in the chooser, so a DM can still throw Rust Monsters or Black Puddings at people.

They've just been removed from auto-spawning or player use.
