Although wood chucking can increase if the Mother-In-Law is placed in the area where you want your wood chuck to chuck wood.
It is the greatest of all mistakes to do nothing because you can only do a little - Do what you can.

Also isn't "temperament" a function of "marital status"?

I believe that is the result of adding the "Mother-In-Law" factor that Boubtful added to the equation.

Doubtful, please correct me if I am wrong.

Mmkay, well back to the vague area of the topic *brandishes the pointy stick of smiting (vorpal +5)* Yes a vampire's eyes must be visible through line of sight for the effect to work. This does not mean that the player being dominated has to be able to see the vampire's eyes (but he/she DOES have to look into them), for instance hidden in the dark under a hood, the vampire could still use the ability, but if the hood obscured his eyes, he could not.

So of the vampire was hidden or invisible one could still be dominated? For the invisible vampire could position him/herself in ling of sight and the victim would still be dominated? if so then while staring at a painting an invisible vampire could slip between you and the painting and BLAMO you are now their under their will....

              Hmmm

Hmm, I'd have to say no to this example, but I'm open to interpretation. The vampire has to hold the person's gaze.
