  • Animal companions

Are there any plans to add more animal companions as variety for druids, rangers and such? I think there are several ready-made packages for more animals on the nwn2 vault, for instance, arctic wolf (a tiny winter wolf), snow leopard and such. As far as I know they're all balanced according to the usual animal companion levels.

Found some different animal companions and familiars here http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view...Detail&id=6896

I don't know your policies about importing or custom creating stuff here on the server, and I'm not sure all the animals/familiars on that list are fit for the game, but I suppose it could serve for some kind of inspiration at least. Some of the more mundane animals there (as opposed to some of the more supernatural/magical ones) might fit in well, however. And the snow leopards look kind of cute ;-)

Would be nice to see the standard D&D animal companions in there; viper, hawk, bat and so on. Perhaps even some campaign specific ones (like a Giant Squid for aquatic druids).

Seemed a shame to add a new thread so Ill tack my thoughts on to the end of this thread!

*edit* Also a interesting thing to note is that animal companions should increase in size due to their hitdice increase which could prove problematic at best when it comes to balance, for example ~ a creature gains +8str,+4CON & +2NAC when changing from medium to large size!
