    Faction Numbers

    I hate to start a thread with a question/request but perhaps others have some good input:

    Can there be (or where is it) a place to show the member numbers of factions? Perhaps the wiki in the stats section. It would be nice to know what they are so that one does not pursue jointing a dead faction. Perhaps listing top 10 login dates for members? I understand that some may not want you to know they are a member of the "League of Clueless elves" but it one can track down the classes of a char already if you chose to do so.

    It may help to bust the numbers as well knowing that the faction is live and well. It may even help RP recruitment for those that are not doing so well.

    Just my thoughts...

    Might be able to create something like this in the Statistics page at the top. I know the Web site will be undergoing a change shortly, and this may already be in the plans. I don't think you'd see any specific character names, but a summary of members might be possible.

      Nice idea Nezz..Having a numerical value showing the amount of members would be wise as well as how many of those numbers are active.

        Knowing that there are only 2 active chars would be useful (no name just dates). One would hate to join the "Knight Riders" only to find out that the membership numbers were base on the membership in the 80's when it was cool!

          I like this idea. Especially about the "active" members. I have toons in two factions and have no idea how many active members there are. I know the ones I see and RP with, but there may be others I just don't think to hook up with cuz I don't know they are in the faction. Kinda tough to get your faction points up if no one is around to do faction stuff with (and thereby draw the attention of a DM).

          BTW...which version of Knight Riders? The fans of KITT or the guys on motorcycles (or bicycles as was usually the case) jousting?

              Since we are talking about the statistics pages.

              I would like to see the following: A filter on characters from the stats who are not in active play... oh, 2-4 months or so. I look at the lists and see that there are dozens or hundrends of characters of type X around and figure there is no point in creating one, only to find out later that none of them ever see play any more.

                  We don't have an active php developer. Not to discount your idea nezzerscape, but things like this are simply "no-brainers" for me. I just don't have the resources to have someone program anything on the website right now beyond the few "priorities" I have.

                  Certainly if anyone here knows someone with a lot of php experience and some free time, send them my way.
                  The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.
