  • Suggestion: Usable chairs, actions and jewelery shop

Hey, I would personally love to be able to sit down, sell rings and necklaces, and other such things, really dont know if this would be difficult to do, sitting likely being one of the harder ones, because you gotta freeze the animation at a certain point

But the biggest pain is having a 1200 gold necklace with no one to sell it to. You would think that somewhere in one of the cities there would be a merchant wanting to buy some, though, I could be wrong, there may be such a merchant, though, I have spent hours searching and have not yet found one.

The usable chairs thing is really just convenient, nothing more, but the action or emote wand, That would help greatly, instead of having to retpye "Is sitting in the grass, leaning against a cliff" twenty times as people pass.

Well, just a few thoughts. If I am wrong about any of this, please correct me

Sittable chairs doesn't work properly with NWN2. Obsidian's actionsit is broken. the problem is each race needs a sit height and it isn't set up properly... so people would clip through objects and it would just look horrible. It's slated to be fixed after the next patch in 1.06.

As for the jewlery shop, we're still weaking things like shops and we keep internal feature lists as we have people like Rhazeal who scour the suggestions forum for good feedback.

Actually, I have been on a few servers where the chairs did infact work, sometimes you would sit the wrong direction in them, but you could use A or D to rotate. Halflings and such had to use smaller chairs, but hey, they should anyways.

They use a system that requires manual vectoring and does not use ActionSit, it's a particular animation with vector coordinates. It's a rather large and inefficient way of doing something that should be working with ActionSit regardless.

Jewlry is sellable at a few differnt places, with varying amount of sell/buyback rates. It's been in place for a long time, try asking around IC.

Although one of the options is a bit odd, unless there's RP reasons why that guy buys non magical jewelry.
PC - Corwin Eska'las (Sun Elf pursuing the dream of becoming a Bladesinger)

Alt PC - Brevin Smoothands (meticulously groomed half orc bard swashbuckler... sort of... sings great, less fighting)

Ermm... Buying nonmagical jewelery is a bit odd?

            I must have misread that.

Sathayorn: I think you'll understand what Ithildur means when you find the guy he's talking about, if you haven't already.

As for ActionSit being fixed in 1.06:

              WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO!!!

I hope they hurry. lol. Being able to sit down is slightly important. Though by the time it's fixed, they'll probably need to implement massage clinics too for all the sore legs.

                Useable/breakable furniture

You have got me thinking that it would be so much fun if chairs could be used as weapons ... Lets face it, it is not normal to use a sword in a fight in an inn or in an area controlled by the Watch. But a chair ............ and then they should be breakable ............. fun fun fun

Hopefully 1.07 fixes actionsit. It didn't make it to 1.06. The current sit methods are so bugged. You'll enter an area where everyone is "Sitting" and they'll all be standing on your screen. Not to mention multiple placeables just for other races.
