  • Underdark Expansion

Gosh this is probably the 50th post of this. Yet I am going to just throw it out there again. Make a new starting zone and areas for leveling the underdark races including vampires, lycanthropes, drow, deep gnomes etc.. Now to get to the light side you need to cross the hardest high level mobs in game and same for other side so the battles between the light and dark sides will be epic and give the end game of this server something juicy to look forward to. I read a post on ideas on how to make vampire classes http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums...forum=115&sp=0

Anyways I know this sounds like alot of work but hey this is the area for suggestions and this is mine!

I think you'll find something like this on an underdark specific server... it could take us years just to do a small portion of the underdark justice to this level.

That being said everything mentioned above has been something discussed internally for a long time... it just isn't something we're ready to pursue. I can see Sundren's next major environment update being a slightly warmer climate.
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

The only reason people ever want the underdark is so they can play drow in my experience, and as they're a restricted race in Sundren, that might be a bit fruitless. And Saulus is right, to do justice to the underdark, it has to be all about the underdark. Making a small portion of it as an addition to an already rather large server would just seem like a half-arsed effort.

Closing this thread to retain the mysterious quality of Saulus' statement, and also due to the fact that this topic has been discussed at very, very great length before.
