Word circulates that the Exigo Syndicate may have discovered a rich vein of the rare metal Sundrite somewhere within the Viridale forest.

Annie hears this rumor and hastens to tell the Keeper - concerned that the Viridale is about to be torn into by destructive, greedy folk. She asks for heightened patrols in the area so they may prevent the intrusion of civilization into the woods.
Annaleen Wiltenholm-There's always something to smile about.
Chani Kalera- Intimidation is the new diplomacy. *looms*
Eleanor "Bloody Elle" Lark - Why is the rum always gone?
Yolanda Brown - If life gives you lemons, make lemonade. But unless life also gives you water and sugar, your lemonade is going to suck.
    Astrid Hammerhand - Och!

On hearing the rumors, Broran sets down his flat pint of ale on the counter top and stares at his kitbag with a swimming gaze.

"Ho ar! Dere's Sundri' in dem dar 'ills!" he says to no one in particular.
"Be'r ge' me pick sharp 'n me brain in arder, den. No time *hic* like da presenk tae make me er few bob."

He stands up resolutely from the bench of the bar, then realizes he hasn't got a chance of standing up of his own volition and promptly sits back down.

"Mebbe efter jes' one more point." He orders another ale from the wary barman. His head slowly slups forward as he fades into dreams of riches and glory.

To whomever she overhears talking of such things, she immediately launches into tales of Vampires and Bridge Trolls occupying the forest. She goes into great detail about the entrepreneurial business of bridge tolling, even going so far as to list the perceived disadvantages and advantages. She relates her experience with the good customer service representative, Zugnub, adding that his prices are not only cheap, but run at fixed, flat rates, in which purchased passes never expire.

"Just don't try to high-five him!" she adds. "I don't think he gets it."

Tellesian hears the rumors and doesn't believe them; however, he knows that the rumors will bring miners, death, and destruction.

He moves quickly through the wood he had been patroling and moves towards the druid glade.

"I must talk with the Keeper about this."

A large half-orc has been seen in the forest entering caves.

Echos rumble from within as he smashes apart rocks and piles the rubble out into the surroundings.

So far the creature seems discontent and unable to find what he is looking for, moving from cave to cave leaving piles of dead goblins, gnolls, orcs and ogres as he goes.

"Now this is going to be a rather delicate situation." the bard said with a rather foreboding look of worry. "Sundrite is good for the economy, but the druids will likely not let the Exigo within at ALL. Then there is the question as to whether the Exigo will take this carefully or just go around knocking holes everywhere. Damnation... I hate to stand against my neighbors, but.. there are MORE people in this valley than just those in the forest."

(Is Oroville Washington in Viridale or the Spine of the world?)
