  • Mossclaw Alliance

On a wooden post near the campsite at the Exigo Trading post did a message appear in glowing letters. Closer inspection of the message shows that two minor illusions accompny the written text:

Travellers to the Mossclaw Territory take Heed

It has been witnessed by both I, Tarangil Dennanshire and my Dwarven Companion Orlin that the Gnolls of the Mossclaw, and the Ogres of the Stonegarb have put aside their differences and are most likley in an alliance... for however long that remains I am unsure.

When having confronted the gnolls in their fort, we were soon confronted by a Retinue of Ogre spellcasters and Berzerkers, and they in conjunction with the Gnolls drove us back into retreat. I was knocked unconscious, but Orlin had daringly rescued me and taken me out to where we recouperated and rethought on what we had encountered. The gnolls also may be incorporating poison with their arrows as well, where they acquired them I do not know.

We had returned more prepared and had cleared out those lingering behind, but in essence, this may not bode well for those travelling to the forest and I urge caution. With the mossclaw and Stonegarb allied, it may not be long that the other two remaining groups; the Muckspear and Grimaxe may also forge an alliance with each other, or with the Mossclaws.

For those that we talked to and required some proof, my illusions, although illusory are a snapshot of what we had witnessed, and I swear by the heart of Correllon, they are as true as how my eyes had seen them.

    -Tanangil Dennanshire

(( I can appreciate the creativity, but please check with a DM before you make up illusion spells. You don't have the power to do this, nor make glowing letters, unless you consult with us first. ))

No problem. I had figured with such 0 level spells like silent image that every mage has in their initial spellbook... (([i]At least in the RL version of D&D 3.x))... that I may have it and other cantrips for RP purposes.

In any case, thanks for letting me know.

(( It's quite alright BH, you COULD make a post like this, but we just need ya to check with us first. Since these spells aren't built-in to the game, we have to research sometimes and see what limitations they have. Anything not built-in needs to run by us first is all. I hate being restrictive, but I'd hate to fall on a slippery slope here and wind up with etheral message boys delivering exploding chickens or something ))
