Plumes of smoke rise from the Sharahan Hills and Viridale Forest. The first witnesses report slaughtered corpses, raging fires, and Banite emblems adorning the scenes. It has been reported that the group left some survivors simply to spread the message that there is only Bane, and before him the valley will tremble.

    * in reply to hearing these rumours and to dissuade any fear of the people spreading them Cybil merely replies *

Hmm? No, they are afraid, and wish to make everyone else feel the same thing. ... What are they afraid of? Three of their own have turned on them, and they fear that if they do not retaliate against everyone, they will have little respect among their own, or the ones whom they seek to make subjects. They use heavy handed tactics because they know nothing else. Stand firm against Tryanny my friends.
Bree - Bookkeeper and diplomat of Exigo.

An angry woman with a large axe rampages through the Viridale Forest.

"I will find what burn home... I will take head...." she says, her teeth gritting in anger.

The large-eyed doe, a Druid on her regular patrol through the vale, is taken by surprise by the smell of smoke, and nearly caught on all sides by the quickly expanding inferno in the Viridale.

Barely getting away, not quite managing before the fire actually singes her coat, the doe darts off, making straight for the Druid Grove, where she breathlessly resumes her human shape to tell the Keeper of what she saw - not so much to inform him because surely he must already know - but to offer her aid in putting out what flames remain, and helping the woodland creatures escape, and to enlist that of her fellow druids and rangers.

For surely this fire was not a natural occurence.
Annaleen Wiltenholm-There's always something to smile about.
Chani Kalera- Intimidation is the new diplomacy. *looms*
Eleanor "Bloody Elle" Lark - Why is the rum always gone?
Yolanda Brown - If life gives you lemons, make lemonade. But unless life also gives you water and sugar, your lemonade is going to suck.
          Astrid Hammerhand - Och!

From a craggy vantage point on the mountains above Aquor Eira watches the slow dark clouds of smoke spread out from the lands below, a sly smile plays over her lips.

"Seems either some fool has overcooked a meal or someone is out to make a point.."

Realising she's talking to herself she glances around to ensure no-one noticed and heads off down the mountain.
            Eira Skald - Icy bitch.
Karsten Mannerheim - Idealist and murderer.
Vincent Hopkins - Witch Hunter and man of faith.

The Red Blade close her eyes and lets a sad sigh escape, then she get her eyes opened. Kneeling down, in the Red Knight temple she prays.

"The time is coming, brother. Perhaps it will be my last battle, but I do not fear, I do not fear at all. The Red Knight has Her plan and I have both of you within my heart. My blade will rise against the evil for as long as I shall live, as long as I shall breath, as long as She wants. My Lady, lead me like if I could be your blade and your shield, take my life if needed. I will be loyal to You in life and death."

As Andy rises, she could feel the divine power overtaking all of herself.
"Nothing is true, everything is permitted."

Such disregard for life. Your actions will not go unanswered. Your faith will fail you and you shall find yourself before the judge of the dead where your soul will be sentenced to damnation. And there, you shall find a new meaning for the word pain.

Kolamar Biddle stands atop the spire of the Helmite Temple, teleporting here fresh from the very center of the blaze where he had been walking moments before, surrounded by a magical nimbus protecting him from the flames. He stared out to the distant plume of smoke, his face is a mask of mystery, but his eyes betraying anger, flashing under the cloudy sky. He didn't seem daunted by the potentially fatal drop underneath him, he could observe without being seen here.

"It is not enough that my own name be ringing in the ears of the Triad..." He mutters furiously under his breath. "But now the eyes of all of Sundren will be upon us. I will not be able to take a shit without some Ilmatari breathing down my neck. Heads will roll for this..."

After a few more moments, the figure pops out of sight, disappearing in the blink of an eye.
Lorlen Locke: "Amazing how the righteous commit acts of tyranny and terror almost as beautiful as our own under their banner of "good". We merely call a spade a spade."

"If you can't learn to do something well, learn to enjoy doing it poorly."

A frail elf stands in the corner of the Inn sipping on his herbal tea. The rumors of bane's followers seem to interest the elf, he takes another sip as he concentrates on the story. It is of importance to him, for he has met one of these twisted dark cleric before and was forced to turn him into one of the very corpses they enjoy manipulating. The elf nods to himself, and considers the story. Rubbing his hands together he decides that it is better to dispose of this nuisance and decides seek vengance and will aid those that seek to destroy the followers of Bane.

                      my beard was one thing....

"Moi beard be one thing, but THIS!" His dwarven form shifts and bends with rage as it coils around his shadowy frame. "They know not fear, for now it comes for them." Orlin spits the last from his lips. A deadly calm washes over his features. His breathing evens. He is gone.
