  • A Bad Omen

Word spreads quickly from the town of Sestra about how three adventurers sneaked past their town guards and entered the recently restricted Slitherscale caves. Two of the adventurers were slain within the Sestra caves as the Slitherscale faught to defend their territory, and then had their corpses stabbed onto pikes outside of its entrance as some type of tribalistic message.

What it means? There is no telling, but the third adventurer who had fled instead of fighting returned to obtain their bodies. It was then he, with the two bodies, was caught and arrested for trespassing.

    ...

Rumors continue to circulate as they discover that the two who were piked up outside of the cave were none other than Cybil Gelley and Cirion Reliun. The third adventurer remains unnamed, but is described as an lanky elf.

Their punishment is currently being decided.

Cuffed and wearing cloths that look more like rags, a handsome man, Cirion, may have been seen being led to the end of Sestra's town limits by a guard. Once at the exit from town, his cuffs were removed, and was given his personal belongings, he immediately left town soon after.

A blue skinned elf was overheard talking at the Exigo fire. He talked of being held in a cell in Sestra. He claims that he was caged like and animal and starved for days.

A rumour spreads that a plucky, fire-haired Gnome infiltrated the place of Cirion's incarceration and attempted a daring rescue attempt, before being chased away by a half dozen angry guards, only narrowly escaping with her life.

The reliability of this information, or its source, is uncertain, though it certainly hasn't been denied or rebutted by the Gnome in question, in fact, she was seen nodding vigorously in agreement when the story got back to her.
