  • The Eyes of Sundren

    A parchment is posted in various parts of Sundren by hooded individuals in the dark of night. Stamped on the top of the parchment is an open eye on top of a mountain (most likely signifying the Sundren mountain range) with a large gate at its base (signifying the Gate of the Sunderer)

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Where do your loyalties lie? Does your commitment to the welfare of Sundren and its people supersede your own? Do you prefer espionage and precision over the unwieldy justice of swordsmen and warhammers to defeat Sundren's enemies? Do you want to make a difference but wish to do so in anonymity?
    Then the Eyes of Sundren are interested in your service. The enemy is in the horizon and their agents walk amongst us. They gather information and plot while we are none the wiser. It is time for us to do the same.
    If you are interested in joining the cause, leave an unnamed personal article of yours with the barkeep in the Four Lanterns Inn. Let him know it is a message for the Eyes of Sundren. This is all we need to locate you. From that point, we will observe you until we are sure of your dedication to Sundren.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    ((((OOC)))))

    Note that this isn't an official faction. Essentially looking for CG/NG type characters preferably with good espionage skills (e.g. gather info, disguise, sneaking, good RP espionage, etc.).

    -One aspect of this loosely based organization is to give a good outlet for good aligned rogue-types although rogues are not a pure requirement.
    -Another is a way to put those awesome custom skills to use.
    -One more is to provide more RP fun for evil-aligned characters. Can you imagine the fun of a constant cat-and-mouse game with each other?
    -Lastly, it'll give an opportunity to have small battles with each other without affecting RP dynamics. After two groups of hooded PCs duke it out, they leave the other side for dead and walk away. Then in game, you can chat and still go on adventures with each other with the RP reason that you don't really know each other's identities.

    Anyway, just trying to add more dimension to Sundren and its population. We already have members and informants. Call signs and a dynamic challenge-and-password are under development. Let us know and we'll start your "application". Private Message this account and we will contact you.

      Statements overheard.... or perhaps being spread.

      The Eyes of Sundren? Who are they?

      I heard that they secretly fund and supply defenders of Sundren.

      Bah! Who needs 'em? The paladins and legionnaires are all we need to defend Sundren. You can't trust anyone who hides in the shadows.

      I hear they have agents in practically
      every major organization in Sundren.

      Ridiculous! They're just a bunch of kids playing a prank. There's no such thing as an "Eye of Sundren". And I'll give a black Eye to anyone who says otherwise!

        New posters posted in various parts of Sundren in the dark of night.

        ((If you have a spot/listen that can detect a 30+ hide/move silently, you will notice a dark cloaked and hooded man with a symbol of an eye on his chest. Otherwise, you have no idea who put them up.))

          Taelin looks at the notice as a set of possibilities run through his mind before walking off in silence.
          Boo! Oh..you saw me..oh well...

            Jaelin walks by the notice; reading it in silence as he raises an eyebrow. He then walks off mumbling to himself.....

            Now, that maybe what I'm lookin' fer....

              Hmmm, my maiden character on the server will be a CG Elven (not sure whether a ranger or a Fighter *redblade* recruit)

              Looks interesting!

                  *Sywyn Elle walks past the note. Stops. Backs up and falls over a dwarf behind him. Apologizes many times and then reads the note*

                  Hot diggity! Oh umm...ahem...*Sywyn composes himself again as he turns about and finds his way to the tavern, leaving a steel, mardi gras mask, a few coin, and a message for the Eyes stating "I'm willing to join if you provide training". Afterwards he walks away looking for someone to bother or save, preferably both*

                    -OOC-

                    sywyn is all wizard, im saving my level, probably against my better judgement, until I can roleplay start my rogue training.

                    He has at least 1 rank in all knowledge skills except religion and 2 others I forget.

                    end gmae build includes duelist, some wizard, some rogue. then epic i finish my wizard levels.
